i feel like wheels’ character development is very similar to maya’s in the later seasons. they both start off to be very nice people but bad stuff keeps happening to them, and we we how it culminates at the end

I remember only being able to watch these episodes early in the morning before school and seeing this one (Showtime) unexpectedly. Definitely stayed with me and made me appreciate Snake in TNG more. Joey at the end. 😂

Still hate what they did to Paige and Marco. So much growth just for it to end like that. I'm glad they brought back Ellie's dad but that could've easily been a storyline for a normal episode. Love Manny's performance at the end though! 💖

I agree with another comment saying to react to some things in TNG. I think you shoulddo a retroactive reaction, watching some tng episodes that focus on degrassi classic content and some small cameos you probably didn't realize at the time. Some suggestions for what to reactto: -Season 1, Episode 1&2 (b-plot & cameos -Deleted scenes from ep1&2 -“How Did They Turn Out” video -Seaspn 2, Episode 1 (very small cameo during cookout) -Season 2, Episode 12&13 (A-Plot plus cameos) -Season 3, Episode 1&2 (A-Plot + small/medium cameos) -Season 3, Episode 7 (B-Plot + Major Cameo) -Season 5, Episode 14 (small cameo during party)

I think they knew they were doing schools out when they filmed this "finale" although schools out is still gonna leave you absolutely hanging so much happens in the last 20 min and then we get really nothing ever again but a couple scenes in TNG it's so hard to accept schools ou5 as the ending it's really gonna leave you shook and contemplating life. Buuuut on that note as a TNG girls who watched Degrassi classic later in life I was expecting so much more from spike and snake as a storyline and Emma's dad I wanted more from his story

When you watch school out, you have to react to a couple other things after. There’s a scene of Lucy & Wheels that was cut out of the American version of the Degrassi next gen premier. It’s easy to find, but don’t watch it until you finish the movie. Also, there is a delete scenes video from the dvd of next generation called “how did they turn out?” on youtube. it only 5 mins long. It’s a video of the original characters from Degrassi junior high & high who went to the reunion, but didn’t have a storyline in the premier talking to the camera as their characters.

I would have forgiven Snake. It was just a kiss. Had it gone further, absolutely not.

What did I tell you! Joanne is a MVP, always spitting facts like in the past episode! Okay Lucy with the dance outfit. Knowing the show ends in season 2 I think about the kids having to move schools and wonder if that was written for a reason as to why they won’t come back or if it was written after maybe they found out. Seeing Snake/Spike/Emma is so interesting before TNG like you said. Crazy he said all of that to Michelle and Spike overheard! Poor girl. I agree with you, with if I was Spike I would tell him what I heard. He is a nice guy but I was wondering he it was staying with Spike for the dance out of pity. The dream sequence with Yick (the first one) is something else. His character in DH is so different from DJH. When you were talking about Tessa, just you wait until Schools Out! That movie is so crazy too!

There’s a lot of non scripted Degrassi content like documentaries that they did during the making of the show (junior high & high) or like interviews. I remember in one of them, they said they probably would have made more money working at a fast food place instead of the show. I know I watched some of them, but I’m not sure if I watched all of it, but it’s on youtube.

Caitlin on CP time 🤣The cast did dress themselves to fit their character and their own personal taste. I like to think Alex was on the spectrum low-key with wearing the same attire like me (cept I have multiple favorite outfits I rotate so it's not as obvious). Season 2 aired in 1990-1991 so yeah, this was literally 10 years before DTNG debuted with the reunion. It's so wild to think that we're as old as the adults in TNG now.
