Saban is the greatest college football coach of all time but he sees himself as a NFL coach. Saban will go to his grave thinking of himself as a loser NFL coach with no appreciation for his college success. He went to the NFL and Dolphins players literally laughed at his Saban gimmick. Instead of sticking with the NFL and making changes necessary to be a successful NFL coach he took what in his mind was the easy road. He went back to college coaching because the players could not stand up for themselves like they did in Miami. Be thankful for all the things he did for LSU and Alabama because he isn't.

Don’t we all just know it. Like you, Nick and I frequently talk with each other and he shares his personal feelings with me on a regular basis. But what am I saying! You have a direct line to Nick and know what he’s thinking!

@@mglaid1989 Direct quote from Nick Saban, " If there was one thing professionally that I would do over again, it would've been not to leave LSU."

@@westpac6954 Well there you have it. That tells you everything. That quote allows one to peer into the deep and inner emotions of Nick Saban. We can now clearly see the logic behind how Nick Saban always saw himself as an NFL coach. Total mic drop.

Lol. Dan Lanning isn't going there. Oregon is a better place to cosch in modern football than Alabama. Saban is Alabama.
