Yes you are so right. 4:23 I love how Angelina Jordan can be a giggly twelve year old, and throw us a cheerful "Bye!" after a performance like this. In fact, this shows her top-of-the-world quality. Soon as the music starts, she enters a different world and she IS the music. She deeply feels and knows the music, and she performs it for us earthlings (and I'm spellbound, can't move, only tears are running, decades old frozen pain that i didn't even know was there is brought to the surface, melting away under her soothing touch). And then, when the last notes fade and the veil of the music is lifted, she is that giggly twelve year old again. Wha-wha-what just happened there?! We can appreciate her music which to me is heavenly perfection, but I feel we must at the same time appreciate the young person she still is. I totally love Angelina Jordan. And Grace Vanderwaal. I'm a huge Adele fan. Great singer, and even greater song writer. But no one can make you FEEL a song like Angelina. She tugs at the heart like no other singer (IMO). And in the end, that's why I listen to music. I loved your response, and I'm happy to see you back on the Angelina train. 😊💕

Normally I don't like to disagree with any KZbin reaction posters or commenters (to each his own), but I feel lately I must step up. I've heard so many of you say this one or that one has been born in the wrong era. For context, let me say that at 70 years old, I'm quite familiar with those eras; have even lived through one or two, and for the past four or five years I've been amazed and gobsmacked at the young age of some of the most talented performers it has been my good fortune to have come across in the past 30 years or so (thank you, Internet). There appears to be something truly remarkable happening in the world of talent, and it seems to have been going on for a number of years now. Amira Wilighagen, Jackie Evancho, Darci Lynne Farmer, Angelina Jordan, Jonathon Antoine, Louisa Johnson, Courtney Hadwin - to name just a few. A veritable cornucopia of remarkably gifted, talented and so, so young performers, and I'm only scratching the surface. They haven't been born into the wrong era - that's where you're wrong. You're just failing to understand that we're sitting at the start of a brand new era that people 40 or 50 years from now will be looking back at in wonder and awe, the same way we look back at the Jazz era of the 1940's or the Rock and Roll era of the 60's. Wait another ten years or so for all of these people to really come into their own. You ain't seen nothin' yet! Damn, I wish I was a millennial or a Gen X instead of a declining Baby Boomer. Hate to miss out on a good wave of change. Cie la Vie.

Your majesty (well northern one anyway), I misspent my youth in places like Ronnie Scott's Jazz CLUB, The Marquee, The Flamingos etc; all in the West End and saw there the greatest including ELLA, so this wonderful child has brought memories flooding back. At this point, I've not listened to the original or any other version so all I know of this song is through Angelina. I have to say it's both strange and delightful. It almost sounds like she's adopting a Spanish accent. And alternating so well between what sounds like a husky contralto and then a sweet mezzosoprano is remarkable for such a young talent.

Nice reaction don't be fooled by her age, this sound is practiced but still unique. Which makes her more remarkable.I don't usually follow people who perform on these "talent" shows. Angelina is one the few exceptions for me.
