Perhaps I will never get tired of telling people this - one of the greatest live performance of a live act with people just going ape shit crazy is when Babymetal performed Megitsune in MetRocl 2015. If you can find a love video of that somewhere (not KZbin) it is definitely worth your timd searching. Their performance of Megitsune was simply put - epic.

YOu will find a lot of foxes references in BM shows, including the sign the girls make, which is not the traditional metal horns :D There is also a lot of lore built around the Fox God and how he bestowed his power into the girls to spread metal music :)

the fox symbol you mentioned is Kistune (fox) this song is Megitsune which is a vixen, female fox. song is basically empowering women. Though live is always better, you should check out the official music video (even if you don't react) I especially like the part of the m/v where Su says " Otome wa...... nametara ikan zeyo. Maidens should not be underestimated)" and displays her mic. just a quick note, Babymetal is just the three girls, the Kami band is technically not part of babymetal. And Moa and Yui do have 4 duets they sing as Black Babymetal as well as other songs on special occasions.

Good reaction to the second worst compilation video ever. I agree, the concept works because all the parts are treated with extreme care and attention to the detail. - The music is produced meticulously and attending to many factors like Su's vocal range, crowd participation (guided by Yui and Moa) through chants, etc. - The stage production on live performances is out of the scale. They have really crazy setups. Thanks to the compilation you have seen here two of them but very briefly. - The girls are total professionals. They know exactly that to do anytime. Not to mention their training and commitment. - The Kami Band is formed by top notch, world class musicians. The best money can hire. - And finally, but probably the most important reason: Su's vocals singing live is something that not many singers are able to do on stage. Specially dancing at the same time. Unfortunately you were not able to enjoy it on this video due they decided to use the studio version on this compilation. Maybe the next time :)

I know a lot of people dislike compilation videos, especially in my early videos that contained studio audio. This video was probably before I even had 100 subscribers and even I cringe at some of my older videos. Now having that channel for 18 months, I found the sweet spot of what is good and what is not good in a compilation video. What you didn't know about this song is that the breakdown (slower/darker part in the middle) is a partial cover of an old Japanese folk song called "Sakura Sakura" or the "Cherry Blossom" song...I mention this specifically because I see your "Cherry Blossom" privacy screen off to the side!! Coincidence?? LoL!! And Babymetal actually started as the 'Heavy Music Club' inside the all girls Idol group "Sakura Gakuin" or "Cherry Blossom Academy"!! Ugh.... Compilations....and not a well done one.... Theres plenty of great live performances of Megitsune, like one they did for Red Fox Festival which had a all women audience, or from their Legend 2015 concert. But you're on the right track, live Babymetal is best Babymetal. Their MV for Megitsune is great too. This is the song that kinda got me into Babymetal, love the melding of Japanese traditional music, with EDM, and metal. Have fun exploring the Babymetal Galaxy! 🤘🦊🤘

Japan does everything at the team level, it is them and the producer and people and those people got people and the Agency has people. But the Agency has access to teams and team of people to produce all this stuff. Tell a team of Japanese engineers to design and build a cool stage. I'm just now going through all your Babymetal reactions from first to last and - gonna dive right back to earlier ones in just a minute, but since it seems (with a quick browse) that you haven't yet taken a reaction to the "kami band" behind the Babymetal girls, I would love to see you react to "BabyMetal - Rondo of Nightmare Live Budokan BLACK NIGHT 4K(Kami Band Instrumental)" here on youtube that has a solo from every bandmember before a singing bit. Megitsune [メギツネ] is pronounced [may GIT su nay]. To answer your question, Yui and Moa wrote the lyrics and music for their song "Yon no Uta". Other than that, they contribute to the development of the choreography. Yui used to arrange their setlist, most notably for their Tokyo Dome shows. Su often does her own thing with her vocals.The Kami band created their own solos that they used to integrate into the live shows. Each contribute in their own ways to make the band what it is. Where did they come from? for "Sakura Gakuin" and "Karen Girl's", Suzuka Nakamoto was in Karen Girl's (yes,the apostrophe goes there. It's a Japanese thing.) from 2008 - 2009, then in Sakura Gakuin from 2010 - 2012. Yui Mizuno and Moa Kikuchi were in Sakura Gakuin from 2010 - 2014 (ignoring technicalities). The story of how they all wound up in BABYMETAL is very interesting IMO, but is to long of a tale for a KZbin comment (not that this has stopped me before), but I will spare you the details. suffice it to say that BABYMETAL would not be what it is without Yui Mizuno (YUI-METAL), and of course, Su and her flubs (the "kitsune da-o (?)" heard 'round the world.).[ This Karen Girl's song kzbin.info/www/bejne/paXRY4h4YrZqhtk is what started it all. And the whole concept of a metal/J-Pop fusion band was the brainchild of Key Kobayashi (aka KOBAMETAL, aka The Fox God), a producer with the Amuse talent agency. Initially, the girls were not involved in the song writing. Early on during a long bus ride while on tour, Su- challenged Yui and Moa to make a song about the number 4 (considered an unlucky number in Japan). So they did. And repeated it so often that eventually Kobametal had someone make a proper arrangement for it. And now we have the Black Babymetal song "Yon no Uta" in the catalog. In later years, we know that Su- is often involved in development of the melodies of a song. So far, not enough to get (co-)writing credit.

Yes the Fox plays a big role in BABYMETAL as you will learn and that is what I am always doing 🤘🦊🤘this when I leave a comment :) Don't get discouraged if we complain about compilations that are fan made. It is hard to avoid them. We just want you to experience the best performances but they aren't all easily found. There is a channel that helps reactors find very good live videos as I am sure someone will mention. But as long as you are still enjoying what you are seeing and hearing that is what matters. Su is the main singer yes, as Yui and Moa are in charge of hyping the crowd and call and response. They do sing as well throughout the songs here and there but they also have 4 songs all to themselves as the most dynamic duo known as Black BABYMETAL. Su also has 4 solo songs herself. There is a guide that will explain a lot. It was done by CrypticMysery if I spelled that right. I would watch that after a few more songs so maybe you don't spoil anything for yourself. He made a 17min version and a 40min. WE WILL watch the 40min version with you. :) I hope you continue this journey down the Fox hole. I'm sure that you've been told already, but yes, you did a bad thing :-). That was indeed a compilation video, and even worse, the audio was from the studio recording, not from a live performance. Not a huge deal, of course. It's still a great song, and compilation videos have the benefit of not being blocked by the production company. @@Mattables If you're going to watch that performance, I have two recommendations. First, watch it together with Headbanger and Akatsuki (Unfinished ver.) from the same show. Those were the last three songs, with Babymetal Death as the grand finale. Second, watch a version with English subtitles for the intro videos for Akatsuki unfinished and BMD, unless you have a good grasp of spoken Japanese. I recommend the uploads on the channel 'ferr' for that. For your convenience, I've put those videos together in the correct order as a playlist on my channel. Enjoy!

⚡ 💀 💕 / 🦊 ⛩ Yeah, that's a compilation of footage from ten different concerts held 2013-2017. The audio is from the Wembley Arena concert on April 2nd, 2016. (EDIT - UPDATE: Audio is from the studio track, except for the intro.) As far as an introduction to BABYMETAL's history is concerned, check out a KZbin video titled 'Everything You Need To Know About BABYMETAL - A BABYMETAL Guide (UPDATED)'. It's on the "CrypticMisery" KZbin Channel. Just so you know, it's almost forty-four minutes long. And there's a major spoiler if you haven't watched the song 'BABYMETAL Death' from the 'Legend 1997' concert first. Sometimes people split it up into two reactions. Or you could watch it on your own time, just to be more informed about the group. It's totally up to you.

I think you're mixing this up with the compilation for 'Catch Me If You Can' which had at least part of the Kami Band intro from Wembley. This compilation had live audio for the initial intro, but used the studio audio for the rest of the video ... I have no idea why someone would make a compilation and not use live audio :-/

Good reaction, but yes you did a bad thing - this was a compilation and, worst part about it, other than the pre-song intro, the audio was all from the studio recording and not live, so you missed out on live vocals, live instrumentals and audience participation (get the right version and that is incredible). For good live performance videos you can use find the Babymetal Reactor Resource channel, click the 'Future Plans' video and read the description to find the links and how to use them. As has been said already, watch 'BABYMETAL Death' live at legend 1997 (and maybe 'BxMxC' as well) and then you have CrypticMisery's Babymetal guide to answer all your questions.

Babymetal are an awesome group I would love to see you react to another of the hottest all female rock/metal Japanese bands called Nemophila. Too sad you fall on one of the worst live compilation, i know is not your fault, you probably been fooled by that live sound intro. Don't get me wrong I love this quintessential BM song but the studio album sound works better on the official MV although that one is heavily blocked without some filters or watermarked logo. You got a lot of comments already here so probably all your questions has been answered. So just in case and meanwhile you wait for the "A BabyMetal Guide" by CrypticMisery I'll tell you this, the lead singer and the girls are the front band, since YuiMetal left now there are only two SuMetal and MoaMetal. SuMetal got 4 solo songs while the other two got their own subgroup under the title "Black Babymetal" with the same amount of songs, so you will know what they can do and how they sing on their own. This song is full of meaning like you probably already know and is among top favorites BM songs for the fans. BM did a ceremony ritual for this song to be a success, so no wonder why lol -NotACult- 🦊🤘 I enjoy in general your reaction but please next time try to avoid live compilations following our recommendations about going to "Babymetal Reactor Resource" to get watermarked logo clips or some of their safe to react clips like Legend 1997, Budokan 2014 or festivals like Download. Very nice reaction! Don't worry about it being a compilation. If you can avoid them, do that, but don't worry about it if you get into one. This particular one did annoy me a little because they didn't include the call and response part. My personal preference is to include that. There are about 50 songs so you have a lot of material to get through. Since you implied you're a sucker for cute stuff, there is also Sakura Gakuin. SG being where Babymetal originated. You'll learn about it in the guide.

Most compilations aren't too bad. You find a lot of them because of all the blocking on official (live or "studio") videos by Amuse ("owners"). Some are really bad when they have intros by Kami Band, it usually gets all out of sync, but most songs are just fine! Get ready for the ride, bud! It´s an Awesome one! Lot's of content... Old and new! Note - they have a "documentary"... search for "Guide to Babymetal"... you find a lot of info.

Enjoy your enthusiasm for these young ladies and their Kami Band. Don’t sweat the the purists who denigrate compilations. Did you enjoy it? If so then wonderful. Compilations have less chance of being blocked. They show you that the girls and the Kami’s go full out for every audience at every performance and you get to see the crowds that appreciate them through their chants and participation.

Always good to see your support for the girls, but hope you don't mind telling you this friendly comment. You fall on a little contradiction here, I'll go with that at the end. We don't recommend live compilations specifically for reasons like this, although it's true they avoid being blocked (not always thou) sometimes reactor end up facing this bad editing live compilations, and having the worst first time watching experience, some live compilations are good edited and fair for a first time watch if it lacks of a watermarked logo version, but this isn't the case. And you said this live compilation show you the Kami Band when isn't like that at all, this was a studio sound, so no real live sound from the Kami Band and he couldn't enjoy them. :( The majority of BM fans will tell you this because we want reactors get the best BM experience while of course not having the risk of being blocked and also giving the chance to other fans who don't know those rare versions, I've been on this since a while and trust me there are many fans so glad to see clips they haven't seen before and this contribution made by Papa Xan (BMRR) is invaluable risking his own account many times so we can have more reactions and more people coming to know BM greatness thanks to those clips. I know some live compilations got millions of views and even more flashy visuals than a watermarked version but the reactor and everyone got the chance to watch without that logo just following the instructions. @Jake Muller “We don't recommend live compilations”. So this “We”, is that like some kind of BabyMetal collective? Just asking because I want to make sure that I don’t taint the holy water that may be present with my individual thought processes. 😆 Listen, all joking aside, I know that you think you are trying to be constructive but understand I am not here for how many likes or thumbs up I can get here or anywhere else. I comment for one reason - I think these girls (and the band) but especially the girls are like a breath of fresh air in an otherwise foul smelling cesspool that is not only the current entertainment business but the world itself. Their humble and professional demeanor harkens me back to a time when this type of civilized manner was de rigueur. And watching others “get it” makes me feel good (yeah I am going to say it) like a proud brother, or Dad. And it gives me a little hope in this dark world. More foxes and less sheep if you will. (not a cult😉) Yeah I noticed the studio sound (I personally don’t care for Papa Xan compilations) but I was making the point that (here we go again) if he enjoyed it and it got him excited about their music (I know, I know he reacts like he might get excited over a “Feelings” song compilation😉) then great! But c’mon now you have heard recent experienced reactors praise the “Headbanger” compilation by kurokiitsunesama and mention the very things that excited them that I did here. Being the self aware guy that I am (just trying to add some levity here) I know am guilty of criticizing anyone recommending BabyMetal Death (especially when a reactor hasn’t got a clue yet about what makes BabyMetal unique) and he or she is instead watching Metallica wannabes mimicking their “One”song. Talk about being gimmicky and lacking uniqueness. (And truthfully as a Christian I don’t like the mocking no matter the intent or lack thereof). Or suggesting Rondo of Nightmare (or any solo) before the new reactor has reacted to barely two or three BabyMetal song/performances and they are wondering aloud “where are the other two girls”? So yes I have an opinion and I express it, but I preface it with “My opinion” not “Our (or”We”). If I don’t then I should. So bully for you sir expressing yours to me in such a civilized, if not patronizing way.😉 Thanks and even though you cannot claim “mission accomplished” dare I say “we” are both here for the girls and their band?
