Originally, the song didn't had the orchestral intro. The anime producers asked for something movie-like, so Kanami studied that kind of compositions and then wrote the classical orchestral introduction. Genius.

Saiki has improved as a lead singer just like the rest of the Maids improved playing their instruments. Miku is a poet. Kanami a genius composer. Akane is a drum playing machine teaming up with MISA even before Band-Maid making them a rhythm world class duo.
@vdrlng2 жыл бұрын
Miku I believe has improved the most as an instrumentalist. Misa's bass work notwithstanding, the reason I hear Kanami so heavy in mix is that Miku-Chan can now hold her own and take on more complex guitar work leaving Kanami more shredding time) 🎴

This was commissioned as an anime theme opening (Platinum End). So the mood of the song matches the anime somewhat.

Yeah the new "album" is an EP with 8 tracks but 2 of them are "Sense" and "Corallium", which are on the Single you're going through now. Another one is "Unleash" and another is "From Now On" which is probably going to have a MV soon. So only 4 tracks will be a surprise when we put our CDs in (or listen to Spotify at midnight......) 😭 I don't now if that is going to be able to tide me over for a year. I may have to actually listen to other music lol

Great reaction. As others have noted this is a anime opening and I'll have to say it fits perfectly the anime. While the anime isn't a top anime, it's interesting, the opening is the best part for me. Anime has angles, red and white arrows, big wings, etc.

Officially, when announced the new release was called an EP1, but with 8 tracks, including the three from this single, it's got to be a Maxi EP or Mini Album like their first few original releases- Mini Albums, Maid in Japan and Brand New Maid both had 8 Tracks. EP2 is scheduled for early 2023. This song was one their few songs originally composed for an anime- Platinum End. In the past most songs used for anime's had already been released before being used.
