If the Lollapalooza performance video feels a bit long, I recommend checking out the 'outro: tear' stage from Wembley stadium. Suga and RM were great as always, but Jhope dominated the stage!!

Love the fact someone managed to pick up that no backing track was used and they are each other’s backing track. Definitely a skill to rap without a backing track. Suggestion- for the 4th cypher, there’s a live out there where they each do a verse out of cypher 1,2 then 3 then they do the whole of cypher 4 together with Supreme Boi being DJ/hype boy. Someone out there might have a link. It’s absolute fire and it’s live. Great summary of the first 3 cyphers plus whole of no.4.

Fun Fact: This was the introduction of Suga's "Agust D" moniker or alter ego, first time he ever mentioned it. This song was from 2014 Dark& Wild BTS album and the self titled mixtape Agust D was in 2016. Great performance and I personally prefer it minus Supreme Boi live (he did do a few live performances with them) no offense to him at all he's not a bad rapper I just think the rapline & all the BTS members really just have better synergy together. Supreme Boi is a Big Hit in house producer that's worked on a lot of their songs, he was in the very very early days in the running to be part of a hip hop group formed around RM (that would later become BTS) but then they decided to add vocalists along with dancers like J-hope so he decided to just be an in house producer instead. Everything worked out how it was suppose to imo cuz the 7 members themselves even have said a few times they feel like it was almost like fate meeting each other, they got very close living together working all day training and going thru a lot of crap together that made them a strong team. I mean they got attacked heavy out the gate when they debuted, not just haters from underground hip hop and but also rival kpop companies, both. We are seeing a lot of stuff now while they've been gone in the military that I feel confirms a lot of things army has been saying and suspected for years, rival kpop companies were intimidated since day 1 because these guys level of performance was very high for "rookies". And when they won their first award (called a Daesang in Korea) in 2016, the first time anyone outside of the 3 big kpop companies to ever win (Big 3= YG, SM, & JYP. They had a monopoly on kpop only their groups won the big awards or grand prizes for several years) it's like a whole new level of hate attacks & pettiness was unlocked. See xceleste's video "Hardships" for more info but they literally got accused of cheating when they won their first award and were taken to court over it. They won their case while also proving they had been selling well in numbers of albums' wise since 2014 increasing with each album and despite that the company itself was putting everything they had back into their next releases so they had no money to pay people to fake album sales or buy their own albums to inflate numbers, they were barely making it at that time. And now we've gotten more proof some of the Big 3 companies started paying marketing firms for negative comments on online sites about the group and Korean media to write negative articles about BTS, making up bs scandals, & downplaying or suppressing their global achievements to the Korean public. I could go on unfortunately but hopefully there is more revelations coming to light in the future. It's just crazy to me how some of the nicest human beings who only want to do music and make the biggest contribution to their country even economically (seriously not joking look it up in 2019 they made .3% of the country's GDP) are that aggressively attacked for being successful.

There is one performance at Summer a sonic festival where all 7 did Cypher 3 and it’s even more energy. Cypher 4 is my favorite live personally.

Loved this reaction! Didn't expect a live but so glad it was, they have a few different live performances of this one my fav being Cypher 3 at Summer Sonic 2015. All the members end up on stage hyping the rapline, super hype. The youngest 3 members Jimin, V, & JK get so into the rapline songs especially V he's probably their biggest fan boy, loves Suga's verses especially. But they were all getting super hype during rapline practicing this for their concert lol.
