Although luck and timing were not on her side due to cancelation of Woodstock 50fth anniversary festival which she was invited to perform at in NY state, that never happened as Woodstock people never did what they should have properly and that festival got cancel, then Covid happened and she couldn't do any studio work from shut down and no fly laws in affect again from Covid for a few years. Her label got sold and from what we know they basically abandoned most all of Simons Cowel's signings who had initially signed Courtney. The new controlling label tried to change her into a pop princess and Courtney would not change who she is for them. So she had to wait for her contract to end and is now independent and in one year has done more all on her own than her label did in 4 years. 5 new originals released and her 1st original album to be release shortly. Much more to this story, but that's the short version.

Courtney released 5 original songs this year. 'Monsters ' has done pretty well voted ' coolest ' song on the SirusXM channel show Underground Garage. I would suggest reviewing that official music video next. As to Courtney's appearance, she has gotten more active and seems happier now working hard on her album of songs ment to be released in 2024 with Kevin Bowe. I think a decent backing band would up her game and allow her to tour Performing is a strength that she has not leveraged yet. She has languished too long under a label that did nothing for her since 2020.

Wow. You left me speechless for a good minute or three. No, I won't be subscribing. I don't need that kind of negativity in my life. Neither does Ms. Courtney, IMHO. Firstly, she's a normal girl, who was 12 when we met her on TVK-UK in 2017. 13, then 14 on AGT in 2018 (her birthday is in July, so invited to audition before, then the live shows in fall). Look at her family in TVK-UK blind audition. Why on EARTH would you expect her genetics to play out any different with her than with her family? I don't know what it is with some people thinking that everyone who entertains by singing needs to have the body type of Twiggy or some drugged out bulimic fashion model. THAT is incredibly unhealthy. Like Ms. Tina Turner, our Ms. Courtney is a hard-working, dancing, singer with stellar talent and stage presence. She's now 19, and she has, indeed grown up. This is the first 'reaction' video of hundreds I've seen, to complain about her weight or shape. She's got a song about that type of person, that I think will go platinum at least twice once it's out. Presumably it's coming on her debut album that she's finally got the funding to travel to Minneapolis to work in studio with Kevin Bowe, rather than remotely as they've been doing all of 2023. @@myalightseeker Fair enough I suppose about her opinion. But why discuss an opinion about being heavy/overweight, especially when that's not even a fact. As I've said maybe she thought she looks heavier due to her winter wear, but even so, it's not classy or respectful to make a statement on a medium so as this. Maybe you and she may feel it's no big deal, but look at it this way. If that were your kid, would you not be all over that. Or do I and others come from a different brand of people. Maybe a bit more compassionate. Nah, I do know if this were another artist she likes those words would never have been spoken from them there lips. I'm trying really hard to be respectful here. I could just say it like it is, but I'll refrain for now.

You've definitely been missing out. Among the 5 original songs Courtney released last year, the official video for That Girl Don't Live Here easily has the most views on KZbin, yet Monsters is the crowning achievement. It made Billboard's Hard Rock Digital Sales Chart, debuting at, I think, number 16, and then topped off 2023 with The Coolest Song In The World for the year from Little Steven's Underground Garage on Sirius XM radio. Breakable and Christmas Rocks are excellent songs also. Breakable is a landmark for Courtney, her first official release of an original song, her first concept video, and her first release as the independent artist she was always meant to be. In the previous 4 years under contract, all she had to show for it was 5 covers with minimalist videos. In one year independent she's released 5 original songs, 4 with creative official videos, and from the preview clips she's shared I can safely say, when she releases her long delayed first full album in a month or three, it'll just keep getting better this year. Courtney is obviously not your favorite, but that's ok. Courtney has 5 original songs from 2023, and you picked perhaps the most unique of the bunch. Call Me Back has had some reactors in tears whereas some others just wanted something more upbeat. You had some takes unlike any others I have seen. Two signature things are apparent about Courtney's originals: They will all differ a lot, and most carry meaningful messages, not just fluff. Like many well-written songs, however, the meaning is determined through each listener's individual prism. In Call Me Back the lyrics are open to many differing interpretations. If you are game, you may find something you like in one of her other 4 originals.

As for body weight, no, not at all over weight . This video may have given that illusion to you. And even if that were true, to be more to the point, many of us have been raised that if you don’t have anything nice to say about someone then you shouldn’t. Being this is a reaction video your opinion about the song or person is noted but still off. gettingr personal about a person is not acceptable to being a good person. It’s simple. How would any of us feel if we’re to accuse you of being overweight which if you look at other videos is ver obvious that she is a very well balance young lady and very proportionate. If she were my daughter and I heard you talk that way on a public or private video online I be a bit more direct about the type of person I thought you were. Come on now show a little decency.

Pretty sad she was saying anything about how someone appears, especially in a public situation, even if she meant it constructively. If Courtney did need any advice from her own people I'm sure it would be done privately. As fans all follow her and pay attention, we understand that Courtney lyrics with her own music are telling her story of the things she had to endure while being signed. In a way similar to what Maunalee has done here, except she doesn't have the expertise. So many musicians in business are amazed at Courtney's talent. If Maunlalee was at all interested in Courtney's story all she needed to do was check out her songs she wrote during 2023. She has her her favorites and Courtney hasn't been one of them in the past except for maybe a few positives about Courtney's rock persona. Seems to put her down more than not. Admittedly by Maunalee, Courtney's song choices are not what she's into. Which is fine, but no reason to public make a comment like she did here.

Hi Maunalee, I posted this in your latest YT short video. However, thought it important to share here as well . . . Whoever commented that you're jealous of a singer to which you're reacting, is crazy. However, I did want to point out that your body-shaming of Courtney Hadwin was unnecessary. I recall you previously did the same to Lizzo. Though still a shitty thing to do, she's an adult. However, to do this to someone in their most impressionable and vulnerable teen years is callous & heartless. I have no issue with a reactor saying negative things about a singer's song, voice or video like you did about Courtney (i.e. couldn't understand lyrics, didn't get the story line, etc.). That's all fair game for a reactor. I may not agree with the comments, but it's fair game. Music is subjective, so there's no wrong answer. And, to be fair, I should also point out your positive comments (liked the melody, like the chorus, liked her Adele style, more adult voice she's developing, etc.). You may feel you're altruistically pointing out her heavy weight because being overweight is unhealthy and you're actually doing them, and your fans, a favor by calling out her heavier weight. However, the positive you may generate by pointing out being overweight is bad, is far outweighed by the damage you can cause if that person develops eating disorders which many times happen when a younger person is body-shamed online. One thing is being honest, another thing is stating things, honest or not, that can have a serious negative effect on another. I know you don't mean it as such, but this is online bullying and body-shaming against a teen girl. Not your best moment. I pray that your kids, Charlotte, Audrey and the twins are never bullied / body-shamed online because it's something NO ONE should ever go through. Again, saying someone has gained weight isn’t body-shaming or bullying. I didn’t say she’s ugly or fat. I didn’t laugh at her weight gain. I said she should be careful. Being overweight isn’t healthy. Neither is being anorexic. If my girls gain weight, at 19 years old (Courtney’s age), I will have a kind, caring talk with them, just like my mom did with me when I was 19 and gaining weight to an unhealthy level. We talked about nutrition and energy and all that. People can say I’m bullying her, but as a victim of bullying in my teen years, I know the difference. People forget that free speech doesn’t always mean nice. And it doesn’t always mean bullying either.

There’s a big difference between saying someone has gained weight and Karen Carpenter (whom I adore). I didn’t say she’s fat. All I said is that she’s gained weight (which she has) and that she needs to be careful for her own health. Karen wasn’t healthy, neither was Adele when she was big.
