Yes and no. There are no cuts in the video, so in that sense it's a single take. _But,_ they record it several times and then pick the best take to publish.

All of the evolution videos are one takes. They do 4 runs and choose the best one to release as the official video. They just came out with a Taylor rSwift medley, but they haven't released a video yet. Yet

So glad you did this reaction! This was a “raw” performance by Pentatonix, I did not hear any studio effects (reverb, etc) so we got to hear them how they really sound and of course, they sound wonderful 😊. They are very skilled in transitions which is a talent unto itself. Loved it, thanks again! Keep Pentatonix comin’ ❤

If you guys like pentatonix, I recommend checking out voiceplay! They are also and a cappella group and they do a lot of medleys. I recommend their “boy bands in 5 minutes” and “the little mermaid medley”. Those are two of my favorites!

The " Evolution of..." videos are really good ones to watch if you want to see/hear what the individual members are doing during the songs. They're short enough to watch multiple times, concentrating on a different member each time, watching as they move from harmony to lead and back again. BTW: this video starts in the 11th century with a Gregorian chant; the 1600s is the 2nd stop.
