Did you know this movie was based on a book? There was one dream sequence in the book that had Deep Purple pulling kittens out of his slashed throat and throwing them against a wall. And I literally did a double take when you said you were pro animal testing. What? And I know a movie you can react to. It's called Roadside Romeo. Have you ever watched that?

1. Yes but I never read it. 2. I mean that I'm pro animal testing when it comes to science and technology, I put human lives and human comfort over animals. 3. No I haven't I'l look into it.

I saw this movie about two weeks ago, and I found it really interesting. Whilst it may have some grisly parts, it goes into detail about the history of cats and their genetics. The song at the end and beginning 'Felidae' was sung by Boy George ( Lead singer of Culture Club, the same people who did 'Karma Chameleon'). This was a really interesting film, and this was a good reaction, keep up the good work. I found the last line of this film quite chilling, 'perhaps we all need to evolve into felidae', meaning if all of us grew into cats then everything could be equal.

I think the motives of Claudandis in the movie (never read the book, sorry xD) are a little sad, honestly. He was taken, disected, and experimented on by humans and grew to hate all humans because of the horrors inflicted upon him by a few. This is something that does happen in real life. If a cat or dog is abused or tortured, they never forget that pain, and it takes years for them to calm down enough to trust any human ever again. He obviously wanted revenge for what they had done to him. It's the how that's the kicker. He starts thinking... what can a cat do against the dominant species to get his revenge? Once he escaped the laboratory, he was taken in by Zibold and there, as he says in the movie, he began to learn all about Mandel's theory about genetics and since Zibold had some... obviously african style art in his house, it's not too far of a stretch to believe that Claudandis was exposed to imagery of Ancient Egyptian cats just like Francis was and saw how they were revered/worshipped. He clung to that, perhaps thinking that if he could breed all the cats in that city back to that original ancient breed, that humans would be forced to worship them again and no cats would ever have to endure those tortures again. So he started his breeding program, and began eliminating all cats who did not agree with him or ignored his warnings. I don't think he thought it all the way through, tbh. Or maybe he wasn't able to? That's more a question about the limits of personification in stories about quadruped animals. How far are you willing to go to tell the story? The worship of cats was not a "they're genetically better than us" thing, it was a religion/culture thing. Breeding back to the original model of house cat would not have actually changed anything, sadly. Just because you've genetically purified your species, doesn't mean the culture will change. And while these cats are extremely intelligent, this shows the limit to their understanding in this setting. Definitely the work of a broken cat, and not a psychopath. :(

Purple Coin I randomly came across your channel when watching Felidae for myself, and I saw that you posted some gameplay of Alice: Madness Returns. I may comment on that video sometime, whenever I'm done with this reaction, since I was also planning on posting a playthrough of that game.

I stand in the middle with animal testing. We have great knowledge from animal testing, but is so Immoral.
@fredericksaxton9782 Жыл бұрын
It also depends on the testing. You can pay scientists to test on animals for the most *RIDICULOUS, POINTLESS, YET STILL DANGEROUS* things. Make up testing is also stupid, it's not an essential or life saving product.
