I am a foreigner that visit the Philippines very often and I have no intention of criticising the President, because he is fair, he cares but damn tough, and this country needs his style of leading, because of the issues that needs to be addressed. I respect that President, because of his care for his people and his country and it has not gone unnoticed. When they are hurting the OFWs in the Middle East, he sent a plane and brought alot of them back home, and still gave them money. Which other president has ever done that ? This includes the frequent changes that has being made. Lets make something clear, Duterte hates drugs and corruption and he gave them a ultimatum, that if you are involve in drugs and you turn yourself in, I will rehabilitate you. If you dont, then there are consequences. It happened that many turned themselves in and got the help that was offered. However, there are many that did not, because they wanted to live reckless and do evil stuff. They paid the consequences. It must not go unnoticed neither be purposely ignored, that he gave them an ultimatum and this went out to everyone, including government and arm forces. He made it clear that he hate drugs, for it is destroying the young people and the country. The fact that he sent out prior warning, tells you the kind of man he is. He raised a good few points on some of the issues going on in your country (Black people abused by the police and what has been done about it ?) and I await a justified response. Because Duterte is not always in a suit like other worldwide presidents but rather in his traditional wear, he is not seen as a president figure. Its not your external attire that makes you a President, but your internal qualification. If the West is humble enough, they could learn alot from the country that you all are calling a third world country. No its not. To the criticisers: Keep your nose out of other people's business and address your own.

I'm Korean and I can tell most of Koreans loves Duterte, only except for some journalists. Will USA and these journalists take any responsibility for the death of innocent people killed by cartel? In Philippines, millions kidnapped, killed, disappeared there, and even many high people in the police and military is deeply involved in cartel. Can they handle this situation? Although it was done with a lot different way, but Singapore also had similar process cleaning all the organized crime cartels and so did Korea, and see the result now, very low criminal rate and we almost never see or hear about any organized crime since then, economic growth, we could finally spend money on welfare. After cleaning for 3 years, we got really long peace. US government shouldn't really blame Philippines for doing this. If Doterte become Korean president candidate, I will vote for him. He is a brave person that doesn't afraid of threats of deaths and blames from western countries, but he is not an extremist.

I never said it's not ok to be friendly to your neighbors, but people need to be careful about making "deals with the devil". Both of those countries want to exploit the resources of the Philippines ( hell, China has already somewhat proven their intent by trying to occupy the Spratly Islands .....islands that are nowhere near China ).
