Watching a Geoff Castellucci or VoicePlay video is always something special. Then watching someone react to their video… I enjoyed watching your reactions.

Thank you for your reaction! May I recommend his cover of Ain't No Sunshine, or perhaps for pure fun, his cover of Elvis Presley's, Way Down!

Geoff is amazing and this is what he does a lot now, cloning himself to do the harmonies. You might like his Ghost Riders in the Sky, but it you want a suggestion for Chritmas last year's God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, is superb. No doubt he'll be doing something this year though. He uses plug ins for intrumentals - it's cheaper than hiring musicians. :)

This is actually my favourite song of his, and the very first that I listened from his solo work. 🙂 Every time he releases a new one, I think "Oh, this is my new favourite!"... And then in a few days I'm back to this one. 🙂 It's so smooth, so soothing, yet so strong, it kinda makes me feel "inevitable" to start that journey towards the Desolation of Smaug, whatever happens. 🙂 And the harmonies... It's kinda simple, compared to others, but the power of simplicity makes it mesmerising and totally fascinates the listener and carries her/him into the Middle Earth. I loved your reaction. I think you went through the same "sequence" of feelings I went when I listened to this the first time. 🙂 And yes, it's one of those tracks one can listen over and over again, and never "get used" to it. It speaks to the heart, even more than the ears. 🙂 See you next time!

This is a great piece! The amazing things to me, is that those three low astounding notes were all on the same pitch. He sang that same note in three different syles/timbres. It is just amazing, I would have sworn that he got progressively lower, but nope. Geoff is just the best. I will always be here for Geoff and Voiceplay! Let me suggest Shenandoah next. It is an old American folk song, it is soothing, calming and beautiful. Or you could go for House of the Rising Sun, he's just showing off in that one. Trust me.

If you like his humming, you'll love Shenandoah and Ain't No Sunshine. And then to go to the other end of the emotional spectrum, try Way Down, an Elvis cover. He dances! And hits a C1 at the end in homage to legendary bass singer JD Sumner. Keep watching after you think it's over for fun with the clones.
