Kerry O’Keeffe aka Skull is the bald guy. He played cricket in the era before Warnie. One of the best story tellers in the world. After he tells a story he laughs at it and his laugh makes you laugh if the story didn’t make you laugh. He’s hilarious. There’s clips on him too. I’ll link a couple. We miss Warnie so much. You nailed it. He just had fun whatever he was doing and lived life to the fullest.

You have hit gold here mate. SKW was the greatest all round cricketer ever to walk on a field. No one more universally loved internationally. Toward the end of his career, most opposition countries except from the team they were playing would barrack for Australia just because Shane was playing. He put tens of thousands of bums on seats and was simply, compulsive viewing. The greatest most aggressive tactician the game has ever seen, contested every single ball. Shane was just mesmerizing, captivating, charismatic and universally loved the world over like no other sportsman before him. Sure, Tendulkar and Michael Jordan and others have been embraced as the greatest in their countries but to have the widespread respect and love that Shane had from billions, there is no one comes close even. If he was alive today and was made president of the world, there would have been no Covid or lockdowns. People wouldn't know what racial prejudice was and the whole world would be in party mode just living life and loving each other. He was simply a very uniquely gifted individual who didn't need a university degree to pontificate about how to live a purposeful life. Flawed and all as he was, it was his fragility which was his greatest strength. Scrupulously honest, he accepted all responsibility for himself and I think this is what made him so loved by the masses. He was a loveable larrikin and the people were drawn to him and felt they could relate to him. People of all ages, races and both men and women, boys and girls. He was like the brother you wished you had. There will never be another like him. You should get hold of his book. RIP Shane. You gave much and deserve even more. I pray the Almighty Father is of the same opinion🙏

We miss Shane Warne so much, he had a huge heart as well as being very talented, he's still inspirational! As a typical Australian, he was expected to be a joker, but he was actually smart,, he did a lot of charity work, and was a family man! Yes, let's get off the couch! 🤗👍 There is an early interview he did on the Graham Norton Show in England!?

One story from Warnie , he was at the British Open Golf they had a big party and Shane was on stage with the band in the wee small hours next day he is playing in the Proam basically had no sleep had early tee off he managed to beat the pro's score and from memory hit a hole in one . So yeah he crammed a lot in his life and his ex wife and girlfriends always remained friends with him which says a lot . RIP Warnie

Warnie was an absolute Aussie legend . When he died the newspaper here in Brisbane would have 12 to 20 pages just on him and that kept up for 2 weeks , I have never seen anything like that in my 71 years and that is an indication of his greatness !

I actually had a drink with Shane, it would be back around 2000ish, me and a freind were members of the Durham Cricket Club, we were watching the match Durham agains Hampshire, just after lunch the game was rained off, no further play, The members bar had closed, so we went down to the public bar, There was only me and my friend in and the whole of the hampshire team having a beer, we were respectful not to bother them, Robin Smith was at the bar, the hampshire captain, we asked would the players mind if we get some autographs, he said he would do better, he got 2 peicess of A4 paper, took us to the lads sat us down to drink with them and got all the players to sign our paper, shane didnt stay long, i think he was travelling back by car and not on the team bus

Shane was a ladies man he owned it in the end after he s wife and him broke up but where still good friends and loved his kids He dated actress but something went wrong their and it ended When he was playing oversea I think India he couldn't eat the food and put out so's for Aussie food and he liked baked beans in a can So this Australian company got wind of it and stuck box's of the stuff on plane and was their in days for him free of charge I think from memory was SPC baked beans as Shane wasn't a fancy eater he was a true everyday working class Aussie Burgers beers females mate's partying and owned it all had the true Aussie larrikin in him We have a say can take the person out of the country but can't take the country out of the person It's very true for the older Aussie's Shane was a larrikin and was always a larrikin This means he never changed for who,he was before fame We have many entertainer's from working class like this when they get fame They don't change John Farnham Jimmy barnes two ledgen singer Never changed both working class but larrikins as well and as loved by Aussie people They're special breed that cross all parts of society equally loved and respected by all For instance when they said about kicking Shane to wake him up for Mr Morrison He was our last primister and held Shane in that regard I don't think he was leader then not sure what time their talking about

Boxing Day… is December 26 … the day after Christmas Day…. And the start of the Boxing Day Test match in Melbourne…. Usually test 4 from 5 of the international season…..a chance to get together with all your mates and spend the day at the Cricket…. Watching Australia against the international touring team….. ie… England, India, Sth Africa, Sri Lanka etc.
