I am 85 years old and have never watched American Idol. I discovered Iam's audition tape shortly after it appeared on KZbin, before it went viral. I played it for my son and told him that he was witnessing the future winner of American Idol. The world needs this young man to help heal the ugliness that has engulfed mankind throughout the nations. His God given humble talent was heavenly sent for all to enjoy. I absolutely agree with marilyn. IAM has a genuine spirit, his voice is soothing and his heart is pure. Losing his father could have made him bitter and angry but he has used his emotions to convey his heart and missing his father. His daddy left him his best gift-singing. I have not watched American idol since the 3rd season and I had no interest in watching it ever and it is all because of Iam!! Since I saw him on his tryouts singing monsters and how he just blew me away with his singing and emotions I was hooked. If Iam was voted of earlier there was no way I could have continued watching this show and I’m sure this show would have gotten cancelled because no one would have cared anymore with no Iam fo real. Let’s go Iam !!❤❤

I have been watching singing contests since i was a kid as this kind of competition is a big hit back in my country, been watching other nationalities as well but i never watched while crying. It was my first time crying because i was happy, at the same time Iams execution of his song choices is such a validation to my feelings. He is such an indescribable gift of music. He is who he is never try to copy the original singers. I love this guy! I never been to any concert but now i found the right artist, singer who is worth of a ticket purchases. I'm with you, I am following AI again after many years, because of Iam. I have a renewed admiration for these judges to be fair. I grew up on Lionel & The Commodores, and I really appreciate Luke & Katy. I prefer the supportive mentoring judges. I saw a comment elsewhere that he isn't radio friendly but most of us rarely listen to traditional radio now. We stream, we watch tiktoks, we replay scenes from tv and movies - I will replay those for hours when I love a song or artist. I have not replayed AI performances in years! Not since Laine Hardy probably and this kid has me rewatching over and over.

I am so happy that Iam made it but I not surprised because he is so talented and deserves to win. On Tuesday, May 16, there will be a trolly convoy starting at the Polynesian Cultural Center ending up at the Turtle Bay Resort where Iam will give a free show. I think itʻs impossible to order Iam Tongi merch right now and probably for the next several days. I went to the website right after I saw your reaction with the promo code, and the website says each item is made to order and will take 1-2 weeks for delivery in the U.S., but after selecting a shirt, I clicked on "Checkout" and waited for over an hour (plus another 20 minutes when I tried again), but I just get the swirling circle so it canʻt go to the next page. I think we broke the Internet for this small business, and they probably canʻt handle all the orders now, or even take them online. Too bad there wonʻt be many people wearing the merch when Iam comes to Hawaiʻi on Tuesday or even for the finale unless they already bought their stuff.

That's a good problem for them to have. If it makes you feel any better the company sponsoring Iam's merch (Mahalo Shoots) is based in Honolulu, HI .. so hopefully they can make them quicker for the people attending the parade/concert/homecoming. 🙏🏽 Keep trying every once in a while though. I thought AI was long gone, until Iam Tongi! I have never voted for an AI contestant. Only for Iam. He actually moved me to actually try to figure out how to vote!
