I have to give a little background by this song. Lara Fabian was going trough a very difficult time personally & professionally. Because of this, a group of her fans decided to surprise her and sing her own song to her. And the whole stadium chimed in. Can you imagine that maybe 10.000 fans singing your song to lift you up? "Je t'aime" means I love you, but her fans sing to her "on t' aime" and that means we love you. This singing for her by her fantastic fans; made her very emotional towards the end of the song. Absolutely magical and touching to see how this crowd was lifting her spirit up by doing this. Later she said that because of this: she knew that life was worth living further!

This is a picture of humanity at its best, giving such heartfelt loving care to someone who needed it so badly at exactly the right time. That precious audience sang a love letter to Lara and Lara, generously and humbly, allowed them to giver that gift but she gave that love just as heartfelt and tenderly right back to them. What makes it special is that it is a love song that is meant to be sung for the audience, but as the audience then sings for her, which then shows a mutual love between them. True love. And that honesty from the audience and Lara touches me. A once in a lifetime experience that we have fortunately been allowed to experience. How must it not have been and be in that concert hall when so many years later we can be as moved as many of us have become, by and watch that video.

The thing that makes be bawl every time is the fact that the crowd sings 'ont t'aime' as in 'we love you' and Lara responds back 'je t'aime', 'I love you'. The story is she had had something happen to her in her personal life and it was not known, if she could make this concert.

Crowd singing "On t'aime" (we love you) to Lara is just outstanding (name song is Je t'aime (I love you)). You can see how deep she is touched by this (surprise managed by the pianist). That is one of the most powerfull time i've seen in Lara's concerts (yes, french metal heads love Lara) I wish i'll see her again on stage....her performances are simply owesome and for me she is the most beautyfull voice of all time

That period was a horrible one in her life. All her destiny it is not easy at all and too much restless. She even had suicidal thoughts at that time!!! That song it is special for her! I really hope this comment will get to you. There’s a incredible back story to that pinnacle moment of Lara’s career. Since she started, people in France, especially Paris, were laughing at her and mocking her strong voice saying she was not a singer but a yelling wannabe. She had to be recognized all around the world before being granted by them. Nobody, moor over herself, would have had even imagine that moment to ever happen, even in the wildest dreams. Doesn’t it give an unthinkable more value to the moment and proves how professional but most of all a real deep soul to react by vocally dancing around this surprising acknowledgment.
