There is nothing about Lara that isn't perfectly beautiful. Her presence alone takes your breath away.

This performance is soooo touching. It’s an intense and beautiful dialogue between Lara and her devoted fans. 🤎

I can only imagine what goes through a singer's body when a crowd loves an artist the way Lara is loved.

No idea, but it must be a wonderful feeling. The epitome of feelings for an artist I would think. Can you imagine being there? I can't, but wish I had been.

This was perfectly organised, everybody knew about it, except Lara. Her fans knew she was down from a relation break. They wanted to give her a lift. So how many thousand sang : on t'aime. I think it worked and she responded : je t'aime. A unique action between an artist and her fans.

Thanks, Josh, for presenting this performance in it's most beautiful form. It was a beautiful moment and although it was staged it was a complete surprise to Lara and because her state of mind at the time of the event was something less than wonderful the contribution of her loving audience helped get her through some very trying moments for her.

This is one of my two favorite Lara songs along with "Je suis malade ("I'm sick)". Although I like practically everything about her. I think this is one of the best experiences that an artist can have on stage. I've watched this performance hundreds of times and it still moves me. Thanks Josh for your analysis once again. Have a nice weekend 👋👏

This video is more like The Audience - On T'Aime 😂 From what I understand she was going to sing just fine (even though she was going through a rough moment of her life) but the audience had different plans because they wanted to sing her "we love you" back to her, as the chorus says, as a way to support her in the difficult times. So before she started someone shouted "don't sing Lara" or something like that, and the pianist played along while they started singing the verses. Then of course it was impossible for her to sing normally afterwards as she was just very emotional Another good one from her famous concert From Lara with Love is "You are not from here", there's also a cool little story she tells in the intro of that song
@timradde4328Ай бұрын
From what I heard the pianist helped arrange this. Everyone was given a sheet with the words to the song to sing to Lara. Everyone in the audience was "in the know". Beautiful.

Yes, the audience singing directly to her, for her, changing the lyrics into “We Love You!” surprised Lara - but she immediately adjusted into becoming the BACKUP SINGER to her own audience. I think that shows who Lara is: a generous and beautiful soul. ❤ Your reaction was heartfelt, but I think you missed this key point, that Lara gave the stage to her audience and let herself become a background singer to the real star, the public.
@SingerDadReactsАй бұрын
Thanks for the clarification. It's nice to have the full story and better understand what was going on. I feel that I picked up on what is important and that is that the audience loves her dearly and she loves them back and that she is a wonderfully talented and generous artist. Thanks for the support.

@@SingerDadReacts My comment was not meant as criticism of your reaction, which I appreciate, but I thought was important to highlight the fact that Lara, even overwhelmed by emotions, could've continued to deliver a stellar performance. She chose to acknowledge the love of her audience and give them the “stage” - and I am sure you can see that now. Thank you again for your heartfelt reaction.

Btw, did you know Lara has been classically trained for 10+ years at Brussels Royal Conservzatoey and would have been an opera soprano? She only moved to pop because she is first and foremost a songwriter. You can check her rendition of Verdi’s Addio del Passato (La Traviata) kzbin.info/www/bejne/baWqc4ikftV0Zs0feature=shared

The audience, 6800 persons, instead of singing the original lyrics " je t'aime" are "shouting" by waves " on t'aime / we love you" ... then at the end, she sings twice with the hand gesture waving back to the audience " Tu vois, je t'aime comment ca / You see, I love you like that" A unique highly intense moment ! A genuine moment of grace for all, even years later.

👉This song Je T'aime/I love you is Lara's original song, written by her and, next to Adagio, probably her most famous and well-known song in the world. Je t’aime means: “I love you” and the audience sings: “We love you” (On t’aime). I think every artist can only wish for fans who will stand by you and show interest when you're going through a dark time. From what I understand, she had a difficult time because she found out that Celin Dion (management) had hindered her career in the US. Lara's fans joined forces with the pianist and sang the song for her. Have Celin Dion fans ever sang for her? I think at that moment Lara felt that the US wasn't the center of the world and that she was going to have a great career either way. Maybe life is honest after all. This girl went through very hard times personally and professionally with health problems and ironic criticism from French media as a beginner and mostly in USA being betrayed as a lover and as an artist by "her" company SonyMusic and she came even close to suicidal thoughts. But she finally received the most incredible love an artist ever received from an audience.. ❤

Hello, I am French. it's difficult to translate this song, it's really specific to France. She would like to be him, but she is not a man. Satan is imaginary, he wants evil so she shows him that two hearts make peace. Lara is beautiful, she sings well, she is sweet and she loves all people, no matter who they are. I love her, to know her from her television reports, she suffered a lot, this is reflected in her songs. Mathias.

Will you please react to Lara Fabian & Mario Frangoulis cover of Cole Porters So in Love from Kiss Me Kate? I would love to see your thoughts. Mario also have an amazing voice and is classically trained and has a beautiful cover of Knights in White Satin in Italian! Also to hear Lara Fabian's lyrical soprano side you need to listen to La Traviata!

Hello SingerDad Josh. Nice to see your reactions. Please consider revisiting Katrina Velarde. She is really maturing as a world class artist. Check out her fantastic cover of Whitney Houston’s Saving All My Love For You live from Viva Cafe kzbin.info/www/bejne/ep_ZgmmEmNCVitUsi=tU8sbvl_a40JXwQW Or her masterful cover of Patti LaBelle’s There’s A Winner In You also live at Viva Cafe. If you as a singer don't bring yourself into the song... then the song is dead, inspite of "great" runs or high notes.

🇨🇦 You totally failed, totally misread the moment ! The audience conspired to sing this to Lara ! They conspired with her Pianist in order to serenade her with her own song ! Lara (not Laura) knew nothing about this surprise ! You read it as her needing help, which she has never needed in her whole career ! You took it as her failing, when she was simply taken by surprise ! If you only knew French, you would understand that they were singing "On Taime" or "We love you" while Lara was answering back as in a dialogue, "Je Taime" or "I love you" ! You should really ask Eric Sicard (from the comments) for a full explanation about what was happening here ! Sorry, you blew it ! You make it sound like the audience was helping her get back on track with her performance, but it wasn't about her performance ! 🇨🇦

This is why I wish that people would stop recommending this particular performance to others who are not at least very well along in their Lara Fabian "journey" if in fact they've decided to embark upon such. It's inappropriate and ill-timed which can lead to the events being taken out of context
@SingerDadReactsАй бұрын
I appreciate you providing additional context to this amazing event. I think you may have misunderstood my comments. I never implied that Lara needed help with her performance. She is and I have said this several times, a consummate professional vocalist and artist. In this case they were letting her know that they loved and supported her with her life and the tough challenges she was experiencing at the time. I missed part of what was going on due to not understanding French but the core of this experience is the love they share with each other and the friendship the audience displayed in this action, which I understood and felt. Thank you for watching.
