Our friend was there (so jealous) for the 1st all female Japanese band to play Wacken!!! Some of his notes and take aways: 1. Miho who looked nervous to start had her dream come true appearing at the Mecca of Metal 2. Miyako was a bada$$ on stage during this set (not the Ice Queen image so many throw at her) 3. Midori was her usual bada$$ self and really tore up that guitar 4. Asami showed the Napoleon stage general persona she has come to embrace controlling the stage and the crowd 5. Haruna really shines during this whole performance Per my friend Haruna really was the talk of the crowd and the crowd really swelled after the ladies started rocking. Remember this was a side stage and a Noon show, yet they had the overflow crowd rocking like crazy before it was over. Bloodstock was a disaster as they were moved to the main stage but had only 20 minutes to get ready so no one ever uses those clips if they can help it. The ladies were great but the sound sucked. Wacken always gets the best from the bands and records them so they sound the best!!!!! Thank you for this great show and reaction.

i bet that those attending this concert and had never heard of LOVEBITES got quite a shock. the first impression upon seeing them might have been " wait a minute - this looks like a squeaky voiced idol band -dressed in white no less". dude - this is a METAL concert.! heh heh - fooled ya ! i somewhat agree with you on the 'female' description by the mc. but then again at the time of this concert they were a relatively new band and japanese female metal bands were fairly unknown other than those of us who discovered this genre a few years earlier. i for one found miho and haruna's old band DESTROSE 2 years prior to LOVEBITES. so in a way it was a novel thing for germany and i think that the mc was trying to get the point across that " this is a band of girls that will kick your ass ".

It stuns me that M&M only picked up a guitar 8 years previous to this show and Miyako only had 2 years on the guitar before joining A drop of joker, full respect.

#phatom For your tour with womens, you can called it NEW MONSTERS OF ROCK. subtitled: Womens metalhead Kicks your fat butts. In this tour you need only Japonese Metal Band. Lovebites, Nemophila, Bridear, Hanabie & Hagane. In Japan they've more than 15 all Females Metal Bands. Japan don't need help to occidental bands to kick ass ( they don't need to use babymetal as well).

Not to bust your balls but nightwish is not at the same level as Unleash the Archers, Lovebites and Nemophila, Lovebites rules and I'd rather have Halestorm in that line up and with Ad Infinitum as the opener and Lovebites as the closer

Your rant was a bit off. This was their first tour outside of Japan and they were NEW band + being all female. Their level of musical skill was unheard of for a female band at this time. LOVEBITES won the title "Best New Band" at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards 2018. Also you have no idea how the music business works.
