I saw these young ladies in their NY show last year. It was the loudest concert I could remember. I was 6 rows back and the hair on my legs was literally rising from the sonic boom. They were great live for sure. Mayu's voice was amazing as with the who band. One thing stood out was that Mayu's speaking voice in English was much deeper than anything she said in Japanese and singing, It was like a little boy's voice transitioning during puberty, the cutest. Hope to see them come back soon.

Great reaction. So cool you got to see that concert. I ended up watching it on stream. Great concert!! You guys want to hear her scream and growl through a whole song try Zen Live. A banger! Also another great live is Oiran Live. Oiran is the first original song they recorded and is usually the show closer just like it was at the 5th anniversary concert.

NEMOPHILA is without a doubt the greatest thing to come along in heavy metal in two decades. I have listened to almost nothing but since @JohnReavesLive introduced me to them on his reactions. The live videos of Zen, Oiran, and Rise are amazing experiences.

Hey Jake, just got home and need to catch up. It was great meeting you and John for a short while. That concert was insane. I obviously know this group quite well. The images are taken from their San Diego show and another Japanese venue (possibly Tokyo Garden Theater, but I don’t know for sure). I really enjoyed San Diego, but the Budokan was hundreds of times better with zero exaggeration. In fact of the hundreds of concerts I’ve been to, this ranks at the very pinnacle. PS - I totally forgot you might have been EOD.

Hey, it's Kobe (International Conference Center, the last concert of the tour, 2 weeks after Tokyo, also a big stage (probably 7,000?)). It's easy to tell the difference between these two gigs by Mayu's hairstyle. Tokyo - curly hair, Kobe - straight. What was Mayu's hairstyle like in Budokan😉? It's great that you managed to reach Budokan, congratulations. I hear the concert was great. I hope it will help them a lot in their development. Of the entire wave (from around 2005) of female HR/HM bands, Nemo is the second bend to reach Budokan. The first one was Scandal (but it's slightly different, lighter, more popular music). Babymetal and PassCode are mixed bands). How's the sound in Budokan? Have you been to any other concerts in Tokyo?
@michelm.60339 ай бұрын
@@musicaconqueror5477 Mayu’s hair was similar to the Odyssey video. The sound quality was perfect. It was loud, but not distorted in anyway. Very clean from each instrument and easily distinguishable from each other. I went to Chiba, or specifically the Makuhari Messe for Babymetal last year. That was also a great concert. Finally, I stopped by Hibiya Park (think Naon Yaon venue) last year to kill time. That was my first experience with Atarashii Gakko, Wednesday Campanella, and a few others I can’t remember. Fun trips and wonderful people. EDIT: Truth be told I’m a huge Babymetal fan and the spectacle at MM is still my favorite concert. However, comparing Babymetal to any five piece musical group is like comparing apples to oranges. They are a dedicated performance act with great music. Nemophila is a musical act that incorporates some performance aspects. Side note; the flowers sent from the fans in California and perhaps other areas were very beautiful. Props to the group. I’d have donated if I had known about it.
