Funny trivia, In Tampere 2015 it was the first time Floor's parents watched her perform with Nightwish live. Her mom got so emotional she struggled to hold back the tears. Just about two years before this show Floor was in a deep drepression and burn out.

And strangely enough,Tuomas doesnt get enough credit for all that he does in Nightwish. Thats why you see soo many people pointing out how much of a creative force he is inside Nightwish,to make more aware of it. He is simply a Maestro at work,and then some :)

Yes the songs are his babies. It has really shown since Troy and Floor joined the band. He is so happy with where the band is now and how they perform his music............... ;-)

Yes, you are so on the spot right (?) . If you see his face you know for sure that he likes Floor's contribution to the band. Floor is more versatile as Tarja and Annette were/are.

@@carstenribbecke3272 And she has a good sense of humor, like in the documentary when they are fooling with a " caution wet floor" sign and when she uses a bucket with the same tekst to carry her stuff inside. Floor was in the first year that the Dutch rock academy started, and she also plays piano guitar and flute. And because the fact that she was present from the early rehearsels untill the finished album, Endless Forms Most Beautiful is maybe a bit different because Floor also helped the band with being there from the earliest rehearsels till the Finnish album ;-)

there's an older image of her holding up a boxed 'floor fan' and pointing to the 'floor' on the box with the biggest, goofiest smile on her face i found a while back, and she loves the 'floorgasm' thing fans have come up with. she's definitely the mischievous type.

Why... why you say a little?!?!??! Well, anybody in Nightwish is at least half jester also. Bound to have rubbed on her by now, if she wasn't like that before already. Finns want to not to take themselves too seriously. Even the Finnish metal people are usually like that. I think a thing devout Satanism sounds a bit corny to an average Finnish metal fan or musician. Mostly every -ism is studied from a bit of a distance. Especially the province where Marco comes from (Savo) is known for its comedians. You remember his mock angry scowls :) And in one video he wears these pilot goggles and the leather cap that goes with it. Or is it an ols 'mobilists' kit? Think they wre the same those days. Oh why he did that? Probably just because. I bet he was especially pleased if people were puzzled over that. In general stereotype those folks are described crooked as ... crooked as ... don't know what could match them. When a person from Savo speaks, the responsibilty moves over to the listener... they love to say. One example of this humor vein is Ismo Leikola. He's from Central Finland, but those people mostly originate from Savo (just east of C. Finland). So - we're screwed when he opens his mouth. Just search YT videos for Ismo Leikola English, if you like stand up. Btw. he can play guitar, and has made songs. But not in English. Yet. But you can never trust him not to - he has these Savo genes in him. Well, Tuomas is the deep soul in the group, all his feelings move in the magnitude that pulps ups these songs in this band called Nightwish. And Auri. Auri is his other band with his wife Johanna, and Troy of Nightwish. It's not metal, but folky and experimental. They make dreamy music, the like of wich Johanna was singing already before meeting Tuomas. She's one of Finland's most famous lady singers. If you like to hear beautiful lady voice Rakkauslaulu (Love Song) is her top song so far. She sounds like the stuff faeries and angels are made of - fragile and powerful at the same time. For me her voice is captivating. It's like your daughter or girlfriend asks your comfort and your mother comforts you - in the same song sometimes almost the same time.

Storytime has really top 5 of the best opening music + singing of any Nightwish songs. Even if it drops in the end to about top20 list in all time songs of Nightwish for me.

Yes, I prefer this live at Tampere, but Nightwish is always good either way. You can really see how the whole band is enjoying themselves on the stage. I really should have been there, I live about 180 km from Tampere, so it's not that far away. Great reaction, thank you.

Both this performance and Wacken 2013 are spectacular! I don't want to come off as some lecherous idiot. I have way too much respect for Floor! As well as all of you Nightwish fans! However, as a human who can appreciate a beautiful woman I must comment on Floor's incredible elegance and subtle sexual beauty. At 6:07 Floor turns and walks to the platform where Troy is usually stationed to finish the song. From this point on she encounters a fan blowing from the left and slightly below forcing her to use her left hand to keep her chiffon dress from blowing up and revealing a little more leg than she is comfortable with exposing. Then on her last vocalization at 6:53 you get a beautiful shot of her long and lean legs accentuated by the heels she is wearing. What a picture! It is not always easy for a tall woman to come off as beautifully as Floor manages. In our current culture we usually equate female beauty with thin and petite. Hannes, Floor's husband is a lucky man to have such a talented, elegant, and classy woman for a partner. Floor never goes too far with her sexuality on stage, such as many other females do in vulgar ways to pander to the males in the audience. I give her great respect for this and apologize to everyone for this comment. I just could not help myself. I am a male and still have a pulse. Please FORGIVE me Floor. Mad respect!

You should check Tuomas Holopainen's other project about the cartoon The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck by Don Rosa. He has made whole soundtrack of that comic book in collaboration with Don Rosa himself. I know Disney cartoon maybe (supricingly) little known in the states but here in Europe and Especially here in Finland these comics are a big thing. People have grown up reading these comics. This Tuomas's album "The Life and Times of Scrooge" is a tribute to Don Rosa and to all the community behind these great comics. I learned how to read from Carl Barks Scrooge comics. I knew Carl a little, and I know Don Rosa a bit also. And yes, Tuomas' musical homage to Rosa's seminal Scrooge work is gorgeous.

Wacken 2013 is niet te evenaren. Zo episch krijg je ze niet meer. En dat ligt absoluut niet aan de band zelf hoor, maar het was het totaalplaatje. Ruim 80000 man publiek, groot podium, de algehele setting en sfeer en niet vergeten de nieuw hervonden energie toendertijd. Maar dat drukt de pret absoluut niet. Het zijn en blijven juweeltjes 😁
