So basically, Stellar is a unique thing to the Scarlet/Violet DLC. Stellar moves (only applicable to Tera Blast and Terapagos’ signature move, there’s no naturally Stellar moves) are super effective against Stellar Pokémon and that’s it. Pokémon that have Stellar as their Tera type get the Tera type boost (+50%) to all of their moves, but only the first time that move is used. So, say your Tera Stellar mon uses Flamethrower, it’ll get the 50% boost, but if it uses it again it’ll be normal damage. Pretty niche, but if you need to cover multiple threats and are sure you can one or two shot them and have good coverage, it can be useful, but it’s definitely more of a gamble than a straightforward Tera type. As far as I know, the only Pokémon that’s naturally Stellar type is Terapagos, since it sorta half terastalizes when it enters battle, but I might be misremembering.

Stellar is a weird case that only plays a role regarding Terapagos from the Indigo Disc DLC and Terastellizing. You can terastellize Pokemon to the stellar type to be super effective to other terrastellized Pokemon. So no Pokémon is Stellar type in ktself which is why it’s so obscure. I hope I gave these Infos correctly since I also only know them from videos and haven’t played gen 9 myself.

Ok. So I was right-it’s a Scarlet & Violet thing. That would explain why I never heard of it, because I haven’t finished Scarlet and Violet
