Rendezvous means a meeting, and freddie is singing in French. That was his real hair.

Thanks for this one - hardly anyone does it 🤗 (Ron day vou - the s at the end is silent) This is in the ragtime style of music. “A Winter’s Tale” is a beautiful song Freddie wrote while recuperating from treatments for his illness. LOL...that other reactor is wrong - Freddie never wore a wig except for a few videos. Nothing wrong with questions - it’s how you learn! C’est la vie madames et moussiers is French for “That’s life, ladies & gentlemen”

No wig ... Freddie’s 70s hair style! 😂 One of my mom’s favorite Queen songs!! Freddie and Roger did all the playful music & sounds! You should do “It’s A Beautiful Day”, A Winter’s Tale”, and “Good Ol Fashion Lover Boy”. Great reaction!

What I love most about Queen is how diverse their music is. The type of music your probably thinking of is music hall or vaudeville. Seaside Rendezvous definitely puts a smile on my face, very light and bouncy. "Lazing on a Sunday afternoon" and "Good Company" (sung by Brian playing a ukulele) have that same cheery, music hall-vaudeville vibe. Also, in case your wondering, in the line "I'll be your Valentino" Freddie is referring to Rudolf Valentino, a very famous silent movie actor known as "the Latin lover of the silent screen".

One thing you will see in your journey with Queen is while they were considered a rock band, they did many other types of music also. From speed metal, thrash, pop, rock a billy, ballads, etc..something for everyone. So they weren't your typical rock band in that they stuck to just rock. They were very diverse in their music.

Hahaha Freddie never once wore a wig, unless it was for a music video! His hair was 'au naturel'. You should react to this video for an understanding of Fred's stylistic changes over the years: kzbin.info/www/bejne/b5bJZ4h9rN-omNE

Fantastic reaction! I do love this song! Freddie wrote some very interesting songs. This is Vaudeville, it is a style of music that was popular from around 1890 - 1940. Or it is sometimes called music hall, it is the type of songs you can find in old movies. So even when Freddie recorded it, it was already very old fashioned! The bridge section with the horn and trumpets, are fake. It is Roger and Freddie mimicking all of those instruments with their voices. Roger even mimics a kazoo. It is French, and apparently Freddie had a perfect French accent. For more of these types of songs try Bring Back That Leroy Brown kzbin.info/www/bejne/hIPLXqCkaKmhqpo, the genre for this song is ragtime. But if you liked Seaside Rendezvous, I am pretty sure you will like Bring Back That Leroy Brown as well. Two other great Vaudeville songs is Lazing On Sunday Afternoon kzbin.info/www/bejne/hYaZdqyOmKt1rqM. and Good Old Fashioned Loverboy kzbin.info/www/bejne/hnqWfXSdfKerp7c. No, that is Freddie's own hair. Freddie was from Persian/ Iranian and Indian ancestry, that is why his hair was so dark. Perhaps that is why some people might think it was a wig? Or perhaps it is the haircut? That was your standard rock hair cut, some rock stars still have that same haircut today. Perhaps it might be interesting for you see Queen's video for their very first single, it's like their very first music video. They look very young, and you will see that Freddie's hair was even longer at some point. Keep Yourself Alive kzbin.info/www/bejne/oKS1aIN4oZiZb9k

Lamarius Minor - This really isn't "different from the music that they normally make" as you said, because they didn't normally make only one style of music. All four band members enjoyed different styles, all four wrote songs and all four contributed to the final product of many of their songs. Freddie liked everything from opera to jazz and blues. Roger was more into rock. Brian was into guitar people like Hendrix. John Deacon was into ballads, funk and jazz. They played everything from operatic (Bohemian Rhapsody) to folk ('39"), blues (Dreamer's Ball, My melancholy blues), vaudeville like this song (and Bring back Leroy Brown), heavy and progressive rock like their earlier albums, soft rock (You're my best friend), gospel (Let me live), jazz, funk (Another one bites the dust), disco (Cool cat, Back chat), ballads (One year of love, Love of my life), R&R (Need your loving, Breakthru), waltzes (Millionaire Waltz), movie themes ....you name it, they played it. That's just a sampler of their styles. That is part of their popularity. They had something for everyone and dared to step out of bounds. PS - Freddie's own hair. You could determine the year in their career by Freddie's and Deaky's changing hair styles. Brian and Roger stayed pretty much the same. C'est la vie mesdames et messieurs - That's life ladies and gentlemen.

It was not a weave. in the late 60s, & 70s. Everyone had long hair. It was the style. Especially with Glam Rock.

One of their more playful songs which shows their versatility. Love it. Can’t get more British than “a jollification”.😜 Reminds me of 20’s music. Ron-day-vu is French for a romantic meeting. Love your enthusiasm for these lesser known songs which are just as great as their big hits to me.

This type of music is called Vaudeville. Back in the early 1900s they would have those quartet singers and this is the type of music they would sing. Btw who would be mad at you for asking questions?!? Keep asking bro Queen fans will always answer happily!!
