This is probably a bit late, but Panzerkampf is about the Battle of Kursk, part of the Eastern Front campaign fought between 5th July 1943 and 23rd August 1943, beginning with Operation Citadel. It contained within it one of the largest tank battles in history, which is primary focus of the song, at the Battle of Prokhorovka. At the beginning of Operation Citadel, the Reich deployed close to 800,000 men, 3,000 tanks, and almost 10,000 guns and mortars. The Soviet Union deployed almost 2 million men, over 5000 tanks, and over 25,000 guns and mortars. At the time of the Soviet counter offensive, the Germans had bolstered to 940,000 men, over 3000 tanks, though having lost two hundred guns, but being reinforced by over 2000 aircraft, whilst the Russians had 2,500,000 men, over 7000 tanks, 47,000 guns, and up to 3500 aircraft. Kursk ended with a Soviet victory. Prokhorovka was one of the largest tank battles in history fought between the II SS-Panzer Corps of the 4th Panzer Army and the 5th Guards Tank Army of the Soviet Union. The II SS-Panzer Corps contained the cream of the SS crop and some of the first SS units established. 1st SS Panzergrenadier Division 'SS Adolf Hitler Leibstandarte', 2nd SS Panzergrenadier Division 'Das Reich', and 3rd SS Panzergrenadier Division 'Totenkopf'. They faced off against the 29th Tank Corps (at this point it's good to mention that the Russian size system worked one higher than the rest of the world. A Russian Corps was the size of a German Division. A Russian Field Army was the size of a German Corps. A Russian Front was the size of a German Field Army), the 18th Tank Corps, the 2nd Guards Tank Corps, the 2nd Tank Corps, the 5th Guards Mechanised Corps, supported by the the 33rd Guards Rifle Corps, the 31st Tank Corps, the 10th Tanks Corps, the 48th Rifle Corps, and the 23rd Guards Rifle Corps. 294 tanks and assault guns were deployed by the II SS-Panzer Corps with the Russians deploying 616 tanks and self-propelled guns. Neither side achieved their objective at Prokhorovka, but the overall victory at Kursk would be the turning point of the war on the eastern front, and Germany would never mount another offensive against Russia. From then on it was a defensive war until Berlin itself fell.

What a lovely reaction to a great song. "Panzerkampf" is a German word composed of the words "der Panzer" (tank) and "der Kampf" (fight/struggle/conflict/battle/etc.). So it means "tank-battle" and as Blood mentioned in his comment it is about a huge battle between armoured divisions of the Third Reich and the Soviet Union. It's pronounced pants-er-cam-pf: -- "pants" as in the clothing -- "er" like "air" but shorter -- "camp" as in what you make with tents -- "pf" as in the sound you make when you get asked a difficult question (try saying the letter "P" like "puh" but keep your top teeth touching your bottom lip the whole time)
