Every song she writes can be stripped down to a single instrument, because that's how they were written. This is my favorite kind of performance -- nice and intimate. Out of the Woods from this same concert is amazing as well.
@Havivamauri11 ай бұрын
Guy in the bottom right knows his stuff🤯... Taylor does in fact most times hear production and rhythm when a lyrics pops up in her head and she proceeds to find how to replicate that sound. She mentions this in one the interviews for this exact venue i believe its out of the woods segment. Which is why essentially according to Jack and anyone she works with; after she sends a song idea not much revision or additions are needed its basically finished. Mother is a musical genius
@orphanedhanyou11 ай бұрын
I think there is a difference between a musical genius & being good at making music for the masses, especially in modern pop. That doesn't negate her skill & cleverness, just don't think it's the same thing.
@Havivamauri11 ай бұрын
@@orphanedhanyou musical genius as in literally her brain using information randomly to create whole songs in her head, the ability to learn how to play more than 8 instruments, recognize a song by only chords and her ability to fill literature with emotion and depth. If that's not a genius then Mozart wasn't a genius and neither was Shakespeare to which you might agree but historically they were recorded as geniuses in their craft. Everyone wont like your work that's a given doesn't mean you're not a genius.

These intimate concerts are where Taylor shows what a talented and great musician she is. Unfortunately, many people still judge her as a mere singer who sings "bubblegum music", when she is MUCH more than that. Great video guys!!
@FM-ki4ky11 ай бұрын
Can never take the people who criticise her music saying "all her stuff sounds the same" seriously, because they quite clearly listened to Shake It Off in 2014 and decided to run with it. Her non-singles are arguably better than her radio hits and that is the biggest reason why her albums still chart so well.

Facts about the music video for Wildest Dreams: 1. Filmed in Botswana and South Africa 2. Taylor’s love interest is actor Scott Eastwood (Suicide Squad) 3. Taylor has jet black hair and looks stunning!! 4. Taylor’s heartbeat was recorded and incorporated into the song!! 5. The music video of the original version included indescribable drums towards the end of the song that were criminally left off the album and radio. The music video version is the most SUPERIOR version (although this version of just Taylor and her electric guitar makes me want to cry it’s so good). Thanks for your reaction

This song is about Alexander Skarsguard. Last name spelling might be slightly off. They were in a movie together filmed in Africa. The video is shot in Africa. Two theories on this song. 1. They had a little fling on set. When she came home she found out he was married. 2. Or this song was a fantasy of Taylor's.

I know you watched the Eras concert version, but I would highly recommend the music video for Look What You Made Me Do. This iconic video is essential to the T.S. “canon”. In order to really appreciate the video (and, actually, quite a few songs on the Reputation album), you need context. Bare minimum, you need to know that Kanye West released a highly edited phone call between him and Swift that made her look like a liar who was publicly attacking him for the sake of publicity. A heavy online and media backlash ensued that appeared to cancel Swift. The release of the song LWYMMD, and accompanying video, announced her comeback. Also good to know that, as part of the backlash, Kim Kardashian called T.S. a “snake”, causing thousands of people to bombard Swift’s social media with snake emojis. (Sounds a bit silly/not a big deal but, within the larger context of everything that was going on, it was cruel.)
