So, look. Spoilers for anyone who hasn't watched the video yet. >>>> I've been thinking about the chest plate being a forgery. Probably Jamon S'Ord (I have no idea if I'm spelling that correctly) threw some kind of magic onto it to make it more believable. And, if it had been the real thing, that bomb would have been bigger. So Percy was lucky that it wasn't the actual vestige.

Well, vestiges that haven't "powered up" are basically cool magic items without all the extra bells and whistles that the fully exalted ones have.
