8:58 actually that was a possible plan in the campaign for a while! They just didnt know how to bring Thordak under the city.

Honestly, the bathhouse scene is probably one of the best improv moments of the live show as the conversation between Percy/Taliesin and Vax/Liam was already well underway when Vex/Laura decided she was in the water and would come out when Vax left (and the most positive/joyous reaction came from Laura's irl husband Travis/Grog).

I love how the thordak spawn bleed molten gold. Nice touch to show they are not regular baby dragons

I’ve heard mention of this legendary Keyleth fish in the other two campaigns, but I don’t believe I got that far in C1. 🤔

I was so happy to see Keyfish. I sincerly hope that we get the event it references, as Ido feel like it was a very important moment for the party. Not to mention the hilarious horror of it. I think the show has established that it CAN be that dark.

I'm not surprised they cut ties with Raishan early and I think it was logical of them. She claims she gave them Ripley's location once before, but she didn't, she told them there was a 'treasure hunter' after the vestige, but nothing about who it was or how close they were to Ank'Harel. She didn't help with Vorugal, and now she didn't warn Whitestone about Thordak's incoming brood. They never were told Ripley had worked with dragons before now, so had no reason to immediately think she told Thordak anything, and last they'd seen Raishan she heavily implied she would attack Whitestone or at any rate it was in danger if they didn't get the vestige in 2 days, so it's easy for them to have thought she made good on that, maybe a bit early.

That’s fair! I don’t think Raishan knew that Ripley had a personal connection to one of their party, so she probably thought her name was irrelevant information (if she even knew it). And it didn’t seem like she *intentionally* led them into an encounter with Ripley (even if Keyleth might believe otherwise). She’s clearly not helping VM out of the goodness of her heart, so is it really that surprising that she didn’t help with Vorugal or warn Whitestone? It certainly doesn’t help her case, but she’s at least being logical about it. Ripley did reveal to Percy that she was working with Umbrasyl when she talked about how they “stole Mythcarver back” in episode 1 (even if implied). But I wouldn’t be surprised that Percy didn’t pick up on it or mention it to the rest of the party. But yeah, I totally get why the party cut ties. Just the dramatic irony of it all is a bit frustrating. 😮‍💨

@@spamsir Oh a green dragon is going to green dragon. I see all of Raishan's self-serving logic. It's just that all is exactly why I would never be able to trust that she would not turn on me or cause more death and destruction to get her way, and I'd feel complicit if I were her ally. I also just would not trust her not to be perfectly willing to sacrifice me and my group as easily as she did Whitestone at any moment she felt it necessary or convenient. I feel it's just as logical to figure knowing she's an enemy is a valid choice over wondering when she might leave something out or turn on me at a bad time. And it is very true she may not have known about Ripley's past ties, but I feel like it seems she could have given a description, or noted the treasure hunter was Very Close? And maybe not but still, I find it very interesting that in her argument here with Vox Machina, she *claims* she gave them Ripley's location once before- when all she said was a vague thing about another treasure hunter being after the plate. So that feels like a gaslighting attempt to me- another reason I wouldn't trust her if I were VM members and I remembered what she'd really said or not said. There's a lot of legitimate reasons she might have not said "Oh it's Anna Ripley going after the plate and she's already in Ank'Harel' but all of those also mean she absolutely can't claim she told VM where Ripley was back then either without that sounding like another reason to not trust her now, to me.

I was really surprised that Scanlan left the group at this point to join Kaylie! Guess we'll see how that goes

I assume that this is how they are handling A Bard's Lament.

@@tylergriffin3667 actually at some point scanlan does go on his own a bit to join kaylie before a bards lament, thats when he gives her the scry sword and promises her to stay alive which is what eventually leads to that event. Theres no way they handle a bards lament much differently than the show as thats such an important moment for the entire team.
