Well Vegeta was actually stronger than Goku here. It's not pride, Vegeta was the strongest on Earth and couldn't sense the Androids's energy.

Actually, it was never confirmed that Vegeta was stronger than Goku. Piccolo said Vegeta MIGHT be stronger, and the context was ambiguous as to whether he was talking about Goku at peak condition, or Goku when he was crushed by 19. Though given that Goku has always been ahead of Vegeta... untill Super... I'd say this is the first point where Vegeta and Goku were Genuinely comparable. When they met, Vegeta was stronger by a mile. The traded places with their Zenkais on Namek, and until Vegeta became a super saiyan, it was Goku all the way... Then again... the fact that Vegeta closed the Gap in their base forms implies there is a high chance he surpassed Goku's base, as he was getting stronger at a high enough rate... I'll have to watch the android saga again.

Jordan Haugen Yeah it was. Not only do multiple characters including Vegeta himself say Vegeta was stronger but they also state that since Vegeta lost to Android 18 Goku stands no chance in hell. Vegeta was stronger by far. Goku fanboys are the only people delusional enough to say otherwise at this point. And Goku has never been ahead of Vegeta until the Namek Saga. Why do you think Vegeta fucked Goku up so bad in their first fight? Vegeta's power level was peaked at 180 thousand at the begging of the series making him stronger than Ginyu.

In the cartoon shes by his bedside the whole time and only leaves to get him washcloths and new sheets but in the abridged they thought it would be funnier to her her be in the kitchen more..yes he took the medicine but because it was already took effect so now he has to fight it...the abridged team also took out the nightmare scene Goku has where he cries over a messed up way the androids snap Chi-Chi's neck killing her...because there is no way to make that scene funny because of how anguishing it is, however it does show a sweet moment where his wife cares for him as he struggles, and when he goes into a coma...but this is the version where it makes fun of things and we all laugh... :) Thank you so much again! This was much needed!

In the real series trunks coming from the future caused the virus that goku was supposed to get to be delayed. Since he never got the virus before the android fight he never took the medicine. Also the medicine he took doesn't have an Instant effect and that's why he's screaming his brains out.

Like the rock. And Android 16 was apparently based on Dr.Geros son, or something. You should've seen Chi-Chi in the original anime right after Goku's fight with Vegeta. Not only did she arrive on the scene and ignore Goku's battered paralyzed form after not seeing him for a year, but she jumped OVER him to get to Gohan and ignored when Krillin told her she should worry more about Goku. That's why I prefer Caulifla. Dragon Ball was never the best at showing pairings outside of Gohan and Videl, but Goku and Caulifla comes pretty close as far as Saiyans go lol.

The reason chichi comes off so heartless is because goku's had very short periods where he's not in some form of mortal danger since she met him when they were kids. sadly she's just used to her husband being hurt or dead by this point and is genuinely not worried and just happy that he's actually home for once instead of dead, training or on some alien planet. Chichi does love Goku, and Goku loves Chichi, but he is a truly terrible husband.

Vegeta's fights with the villians always gives Goku insight on how to defeat them. Especially in Vegeta vs Hit, Goku was able to figure out Hit's time leap and counter it with Kaio-ken x10's pure speed. Vegeta gets his ass kicked so Goku doesn't have to. That's how i see it anyway.

interesting fact about #17 & #18, is that they are far stronger in this timeline than they are in Trunks' future. #17 is a bit stronger(probably because he's the male) but both are easily stronger than a Super Saiyan. Vegeta was outclassed the whole time. #18 barely laid into him. if you watch the fight carefully, she's not even trying.

Also just to be clear..Goku is technically stronger then Vegeta because the Super Saiyan Transformation is a 50 times multiplier of their base form..so depending on how strong your base is will be the dependant on how strong the super saiyan is
