I also do see Ukraine as a strong contender to win. The song has such a nice flow, it feels organic, mystical, has an anthem vibe and the rap part in the middle fits in so well. And it doesn’t feel forced and made up as it sometimes seems to be the case with other entries. And I love to watch the two of them. They are so professional and yet so approachable. And Jerry has such good taste when it comes to outfits - it’s really a pleasure to look at her.

The televoting results are AMAZING - 61.97%, 723,297 votes, which is 7 TIMES MORE than 2nd place YAKTAK (9.19% 107,227 votes). In addition, I want to say that Jerry Heil, and many of the other Vidbir contestants, had a problem with their headphones, which can be seen right from the beginning of the performance that Jerry took off her headphone and sang with only one. And she was showing her earpiece, which means she was giving a sign that she couldn't hear herself. Additionally, during Alyona's rap, Jerry went to the back to correct the earpiece. So it will definitely be different in Malmö 💞. Good luck to the girls in Malmö 💖

I can't wait to see ESCZ reaching this quality of production. Watching the growth of ESCZ in the last 3 years, I think it is soon for ESCZ to become the national final to watch! but lets try to avoid Roxy next year.. The venue acoustics was not build for live performance. But definitely enjoyed, felt proud how much was accomplished.

@@JanBors I think the delegation and the CT is on the right track.. The formula is working. The formula to grow ESC in CZ. I moved Prague 2016, and I felt like the only one who knows Eurovision. For me it’s a song for thousands of Ukrainian female soldiers, for millions of Ukrainian female refugees. Even for those who are not religious. While listening to this song you just start crying and praying immediately. Especially when you understand all the lyrics

Whenever I hear criticism of Spain, I think about the odds of a winner of another national final winning Benidorm. Would Teresa & Maria have beaten Zorra and Dos Estraños? Or would it have been dismissed more like Remitente as a niche culture song? For Spanish acts to win Eurovision, they first need to win Benidorm, and that is no simple feat.

Hard to compare - first of all you never know in Spain. As the big shock is not how people vote (even how low number of votes came) but how jury voted. For me this was the most irresponsible vote. Not because of the song but because of the performance, basically they threw the old lady to competiton where this is not a proper tribute she deserves. Anyway - whould it win? Actually who knows, we will never find out. The only answer is to see a difference of positions of Spain and Ukraine in grand final. This is a factor we can messure only.

@@JanBors This is similar to the debate about who is the Best Pound-for-Pound fighter in the UFC. Vidbir and Benidorm are very different weight-classes, and it takes different skills to win in each. About the "old lady", one hypothesis I have is that the Benidorm jury had a rubric to use, and ranking low on vocals easily got overcome by ranking top in several other categories. Vocals aside, Zorra is very well produced, catchy and cultural, so I think they gave her a pass. Also it seems that she is not a household name in Spain, that part I am more confused about, so I don't think it was her reputation that helped.
