So remember to start with that Cameron is a plumber in his day job back in Australia.!! Reference points, they can be anything from building on the horizon to dips and crests on the road. These guys have been around the island, so many times that it's really second nature to them, they know every inch like the back of their hands.. And this is on the smaller engine size 600cc. The boys , Cameron included, are much quicker on the big bikes 1000cc. They hit 200 plus mph on the straights..!!!! Great reaction, love the grimacing and the leaning.!!! ❤❤❤🇬🇧🏴🇬🇧

i love your enthusiasm for this sport - it is a truly gobsmacking thing of beauty to watch someone swooping like a fish through those sets of bends You asked at one point if the riders had radios in their helmets, as far as i know the only communication they have is by traditional pit boards, which each rider has dotted around a couple of sections of the track The pit boards go past too quick for the camera to catch, but when you're riding fast with the adrenaline pumping hard, i can tell you from my experience riding bikes that your brain is processing much faster than normal, and you are looking so far down the road for the next apex or braking point - that these guys will have no trouble reading a pit board flashing past them, they already know which part of the course to look for them I wonder if anyone has ever put a heart monitor on a TT rider while they are racing - i wouldn't be surprised if their heart rates are up around 140 or 150 bpm, especially in the tricky technical sections

I love the way he says calmly; “Back tyre just breaking traction.” AT about that point, I’m DEFINITELY wetting myself! I’ve been riding bikes for fifty years and I remember watching TT races in the 1970’s when the roads through the villages were still cobblestone roads! They’ve upgraded the roads of course, but the stones of those guys, doing upwards of 100mph round corners of cobblestone streets is something I still get goosebumps thinking about. See if you can find any footage of a guy called Mike Hailwood, who was a legend of the Isle of Man TT back then. it will blow your mind!

Great reaction guys. I just want to correct something though. The Isle of Man TT is always described as a race. It isnt a race. It's a time trial. They set of one at a tiime in 10 second intervals. If you want to watch proper road racing and if you haven't already then you need to check out the Irish road racing scene. A good video for that is Irish road warriors. Around 20 bikes racing at once doing over 200mph, side by side, in the rain and on far worse roads than the Isle of Man.

13:52 Yes. However due to the size of the course with a mountain in the middle they are incommunicado for the most part. Some riders have a team or often family member that is in touch via a phone holding up an analogue timing board to give them an idea of their position as they fly past.

Out of all the American bike racers past and present only one has ever won the TT. Dave Roper is currently the only American to win a TT Race using conventional internal combustion engine power; the Historic TT of 1984. Riding a G50 Matchless he headed home the field in the only time this class of race has been run. Dave has also finished runner-up twice in the Senior Classic Manx Grand Prix, in 1988 and 1990. As for the circuit, it is 37.730 miles, and the really quick guys can do it in under 18 minutes, and they do 6 laps for their time. As for fuel, the TT racers use VP Racing fuel, it is an American company founded in Texas. Oh, the top speed on the fastest part of the circuit for the 1,000 cc bikes is usually around 220 mph.

No they don't have any communication on board The only way is in certain spot the team will put a board out With all the information telling them what position their in and distance from nearest rider Also how many laps they've done and he only have seconds to read it all and process it Board might have lap t Under it position Under that + or - whith the ammount which tells him who closes to him Thats the only way of communicating to the rider's If rider has problem with bike Hell pull in to pits if able to get back as race is over if that happens Otherwise pull off the track but if they have any major problems It'll be castrophic and throws rider on the road Ive seen engine sieze up and another one chain broke jammed back wheel tossing rider off It all part of the risks but very few failures What people dont understand how strong the riders are The wind forces are trying to rip you off the bike I've done 100 mph and hard enough to stay on bike These guys 180 to 230 mph and average speed 130 mph Also to change gears down at those speed They have to hit throttle to match the engine speed with back wheel If they get it wrong the motor will lock back wheel and chuck rider's off So it just another skill the riders have to get right Thats why when changing down you hear the engine noise raises Cheers guys 🦘🇦🇺👍
