The Johnny Depp trial 2022 - Johnny Depp Amber Heard court battle -- Johnny Depp Amber Heard trial 2022 - Johnny Depp Amber Heard trial 2022 - Breaking Celebrity News
Johnny Depp won his defamation case against his ex-wife Amber Heard on Wednesday 1st June 2022, and the jury awarded him $15 million in damages. Depp was awarded $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages in his defamation suit. The jury also awarded Heard $2 million in compensatory damages. Depp sued Heard for $50 million after she wrote an op-ed for The Washington Post in 2018 in which she called herself a "public figure representing DA." Heard countersued Depp for $100 million.
Although their marriage lasted a matter of months, Johnny Depp and Amber Heard's relationship spanned more than a decade. The defamation case brought by Johnny Depp against his ex-wife Amber Heard is ongoing and will likely take weeks to conclude. But what preceded the case? Depp and Heard's relationship began more than a decade ago, and eventually devolved into what appears to have been a toxic marriage. The couple split in 2016, but have continued to battle in court over an op-ed Heard wrote for The Washington Post in 2018, in which she described surviving DV -- without mentioning Depp by name. Depp is suing for $50 million in damages and denies ever being physical with Heard. Heard is countersuing for $100 million and claims she was only ever physically aggressive with Depp in self-defense or defense of her younger sister.
Borderline personality disorder is a mental health disorder that impacts the way you think and feel about yourself and others, causing problems functioning in everyday life. It includes self-image issues, difficulty managing emotions and behavior, and a pattern of unstable relationships. With borderline personality disorder, you have an intense fear of abandonment or instability, and you may have difficulty tolerating being alone. Yet inappropriate anger, impulsiveness and frequent mood swings may push others away, even though you want to have loving and lasting relationships.
Histrionic personality disorder (HPD) is defined by the American Psychiatric Association as a personality disorder characterized by a pattern of excessive attention-seeking behaviors, usually beginning in early childhood, including inappropriate seduction and an excessive desire for approval.
The Behavior Panel comprises the world's top body language and behavior experts: Scott Rouse, Mark Bowden, Chase Hughes, and Greg Hartley. They analyze behavior and body language in videos of public interest. This non-partisan group aims to educate and entertain, focusing on nonverbal communication, deception detection, behavioral analysis, statement analysis, interrogation, and resistance to interrogation. Through careful examination of gestures, expressions, linguistics, and cultural context, they reveal truths and deceptions. You're wrong. All the rich defendant has to do is challenge every single thing the opposition says words, media, everything. Call everything into question and you lose. It doesn't matter if you are telling the truth or not. You are buried in challenges on everything all day in court. You have an expert they have a better one. You have photos you bring in a photo expert to say they are not originals? Everything is questioned so whether you lie or tell the truth doesn't matter you are suspect.

I agree with Chase. She didn't display the right emotions for a victim 'wronged' by the system. There was no grief. As a DV victim myself, if I'd had to put myself on display in court for 6 weeks & relive all that, I'd have been visibly devastated & crushed to not only be told a jury didn't believe me, but what I said was false & with malice. Yet, her emotion peaked when she heard she wasn't getting punitive damages & I think she at times there was a flutter of defiance & anger. Until last week, I had no interest in this case & had zero biases either way. Then I got sucked into watching hours of the darn thing 🤣 I'm no expert, but I've been in an extremely toxic, volatile & violent relationship and I genuinely believe Johnny was her victim.

People who are still supporting Amber are those who are angry about the violent language or the unsavory comments he used to make about her body. Most Amber supporters don't even bring the r*pe story or violent beatings because these actually are not that believable. If she had told the world he was verbally and psychologically abusive, majority would still had believed her, specially women. But she chose to exaggerate her claims to get greater benefit.

Clearly, the world already "knows" Johnny's message. There are at least 61 million Amber negative articles already printed as of Depp's win. Another 30 million at least will be written now. Johnny bought a landslide victory over these 6 years since the divorce. He's had his public relations staff on this relentlessly. She was toast before it began and everyone knew it. She should, and we would like to see it but logistics get in the way. Each state or county where a crime was committed would have to bring separate charges. The perjury charges in Va would be brought up in Va. It can come down to how much of a money sink it is and how backlogged the state is with other felony cases. Australia and the UK will decide what they want to do, if anything. Each country can ban her from their respective countries for free, they do not have to give any reason and it costs them nothing. Each charge would be in different jurisdictions making this so time consuming it would end up costing him millions more in legal fees, lack of filming time as well as costing him many more years of his life. It would also keep her name in the press. My guess is he doesn't want to waste anymore time on AH. I think he is just glad this is over and his name cleared.

2023 Johnny Depp is back in the spotlight at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival. The actor, 59, walked the red carpet at the event in Cannes, France, on Tuesday as his French-language film Jeanne Du Barry, in which he plays King Louis XV opposite director Maïwenn, opens the film festival. Depp stopped to sign autographs and pose for selfies with fans before making it to the red carpet. He and the Jeanne Du Barry cast and crew posed together hand in hand. Maïwenn, Depp and the rest of the cast walked the carpet to The Clash's song "Should I Stay or Should I Go." Depp received applause inside the theater as he arrived to take his seat. One audience member was heard shouting, "Go Johnny!"

And a month later an old indie film that Amber starred in opened in a minor film festival in Italy. It was a disaster. The film was shown very late at night after another film and the audience had the option of staying or leaving. Most of them left. Media shills published the usual BS. For example: Extra security was required to keep her safe. Sad and funny at the same time.

I used info I learned from y'all. Neighbors reported that kids were bullying others at the middle-school bus stop. I met the bus that afternoon and told the kids I was there to see no one got bullied. I had never met any of the kids before but within about 2 minutes I figured out exactly who the aggressors were and who was their "leader" just by watching their behavior (since no one admitted being the bully or even, the victim). Let all the kids know I would be there at every pick-up and drop-off and everyone has behaved since then. And the victims (there were 2) are noticeably more relaxed now. I think the knowledge you shared with me has helped make 2 kids a lot safer. Thanks guys !!!!

High profile people know well how to bully, intimidate, scare and otherwise threaten their spouses without leaving a mark. The damage is all psychological. Much more of that kind of damage is done than physical damage. Yes, no one cares about Amber that's the entire point of Johnny directing his people in England to begin smear campaign in 2016. I was reading KZbin smear regarding Amber years ago. Johnny and his cult accumulated over 40 years had a devastating impact long before Johnny felt he could direct and win a trial after 2018. He was laying in wait for the right moment to strike. His expensive law team began collecting evidence and counter evidence long before Amber was even told she was being sued. If you watch the whole thing, there was a little hiccup in the beginning: The jury had forgot/neglected to fill out the form fully and was sent back to rectify. But before that, both lawyer camps were allowed to see the form, so they both knew roughly the outcome before the clerk read it aloud. Meaning she had had a good 10 minutes to process it before it was read to her. Not sure that makes much of a difference to you guys, but still. From what I could see, she held her head uncharacteristically low while her lawyers were huddling to explain it to her.

Also, if not already said, she got $2 mil in compensatory because she won one of her counts. But got $0 on punitive damages. But her tweet showed she was focused on the loss not that one win. He won on all three counts. I would have liked to see the panel comment on the second time Depp and Heard got on the stand (the day before closing statements). She was doing a lot of smirking.

What I'd like to understand is how her "handlers" didn't stop her when it came to swinging her head back and forth from the attorney at the podium to "acting" for the jury. It was SOOO contrived and it felt like I was watching a ping-pong tournament.

@@tracyafig - That is most likely true, but only an excuse after one day. Amber went day after day with that behavior. If no one can explain to her how she needed to control her own behavior, it certainly goes a long way to validate the Borderline/Histrionic diagnosis.

Yes. She used a surrogate. I realize that sometimes this is a necessity but in her case I imagine it was so that her body was not affected. True narcissistic behavior. Part of the bonding with ones child is actually carrying them to birth. .I'm sure that I will be attacked by step parents and adoptive parents... I'm not talking about or to you.

I'm certain that she was having thoughts of disbelief and discomfort at first but then it switched into thoughts of revenge and manipulation. I believe she's plotting her next move, thinking along the lines of... How dare you think I'd just let you win and that would be the end of it Johnny? This is not over because I'm not finished with you yet. She's going to do or say something especially cruel in an interview or publicly every chance she gets because it makes her feel powerful and in control. I guarantee she wants to hurt him even more now.

I agree. I saw that transformation back into po’d, indignant, and finally determined to try again to make him miserable. Which led to, eventually, her SM post after she got back up on her high horse with her fake banner of representation to prove her righteousness against him one more time. I’m not sure she’ll ever confront her Truth and frankly I worry about that.
