hi pedro, the song actually has english subtitles incase you want to know what the song is all about. just click CC on the video and it will come up. the singer's name is jaklin baghdasarian, but her nickname is jako. the song is basically telling the story that when she grew up, people told her what to do, what to ware, etc. so in this song she is saying that i am a free girl, and i can do what ever i want. there is even a line in the song which gos: i am a free girl, i will dance and you will watch. basically the song talks about breaking free from the societal norms that girls have been brought up with, like sit quietly, wash the dishes, etc. so she is basically saying that, i am breaking free from all this and you will see what i can do. by the way, this is my favourite entry of this year along with greece, the netherlands, chroatia, itally, and maybe finnland or estonia. loved your reaction. 12 points from Sweden.

She is a songwriter. This is her ethnic Armenian song which she wrote herself. Costumes are traditional Armenian. Jako is her name. Her name is Jaqueline. Jako is the shortened way they called her at home. The lyrics is about a girl whose parents are always comlaining her...that she does not dress modestly....she talked too much....etc. She answers them I will do what pleases me. The melody is traditional folk Armenian.

The screaming and yelling, the trumpet the beginning part with the Spanish drill, is all a melange of Spanish and Indian influences to give it a global music, but they are not Armenian. Neither is the ukulele. The La La La is Armenian. She’s singing in Armenian. her name is Jacqueline and for sure they call her Yacco. She is complaining about having to be disciplined, and she wants to just have fun. The song is about a village girl being told how wear, how to act, how to be girly, and Jako (her) being too energetic and habit breaking to comply. The lyrics starts with her singing about what she's told to be like, while her moves and dancing shows her not caring about those traditions and releasing her energy, as well as strength, which is implied by her showing her muscles, and the energetic outburst to the camera. It's a very positive way to spread awareness. Of course, Armenia can be a bit conservative when it comes to such matters, a girl is still expected to be girly and a man is still expected to be manly. The way she puts it in the song is super positive.
