What Ilkin is singing is Mugham, traditional Azerbaijani singing with much richer scale of notes than western music. It’s very hard improvisational technique and singers start learning it from the early age. Fahri is a talented singer but he isn’t trained to sing that. To me mesmerising aspect of the song is a fusion between western and eastern side of Azerbaijani culture. It’s not an ordinary Eurovision song, it a symphonic piece. It doesn’t matter they win or not, with this song they introduced Mugham to the Europe. It will change European music forever

Now, I'm gonna explain what is that second guy doing (Ilkin Dovlatov), he is singing Azerbaijani traditional music "Mugham" for the background, and you said that Fahree (the guy, which is singing the whole song) can do the same, but Ilkin Dovlatov is singing mugham more professionally and accurate, that two things, mugham and high notes can sound same to you, but if you will listen to mugham, you will see the difference between mugham and high notes. So Azerbaijani people can perfectly see the difference between mugham and high notes. Also, Azerbaijan is a beautiful country, Azerbaijan has his own history, which is also interesting and ancient.
