MOST KPOP WILL NEVER BE BLOCKED. K-Entertainment companies feel like the more reactors react to their artists the bigger the exposure for that artist and other artists in that company. In fact, reaction channels with big number of subscribers have been contacted by Korean Entertainment companies and offered a new release MV, asked if they would like to record a react ahead of the release date to be posted at the second of release. YG, Blackpink company, has done that before.

I simply love you two, wonderful, open, fresh and honest. My husband and I found BlackPink thru our 13yrs old daughter. She shared them and we did a deep dive in and found the Netflix show as well- which honestly I think is indeed the best way to get into this particular group. They are indeed unlike any other I have watched/ listened to. They give room to each other to showcase each one talent and personal style and NOT step on each other's toes. They are what my husband call ego-less in a group- which he says is difficult( he use to preform in a KISS cover band). Each BlackPink member has solo work and projects they do, all while staying together. Jisoo( BEAUTIFUL Smokey voice I FULL agree), does acting on the side. Known as K-dramas- one we watched on Disney+ called Snowdrop. Our sweetpea Rose' has solo work out that you simply must look into, voice of an angel, and also plays the piano and guitar and is known to be a workacholic with her music, for it is very personal for her. Our stage stunners Jennie & Lisa(Lalisa or Lili). You hit the nail on the head with the two of them, very different flows styles, but they are BRILLIANT together(for some reason, my husband and I- in our forever old age and as the bane of our daughters musical existence, these two remind us of Lavern & Shirley WITHOUT the goofiness. We are speaking ONLY about their cohesiveness- we are about to be banned from our daughters musical life I just know it!) Jennie's singing and rap style(for They ALL sing, but Jisoo and Rose' are the MAIN singers)she does a speedier, quick punches. Lisa's style is more laid-back and fun-loving, as the baby in the group, she tends to be the lovely, silly wild child of the group that reminds them not to take themselves too seriously, but very down to Earth. They are polished, poised and while extremely alluring, they never make me want to cover my daughter's eyes and worry about her dressing like them. The solo work allows you to see their own flare. Also they have a good many Live performances where they REALLY shine- and sweet Jesus, their dance practices for stage performances are 2nd to NONE. I have never seen such dance practices. Welcome down the rabbit hole. This will be enjoyable, we promise you will enjoy this. It's a wonderful interdiction to K-Pop, which doesn't mean it's poppy, bubble gum music, but rather what's popular in South Korea- which covers many types of music. Music is a love language and is beautiful to see influences of the west spread and be RE- invented and brought back to us with such beautiful bows. Sorry so long, but you two are just so pure and honest. Know that it's ok not to love every song they put out, but your two's respect for all their hard work is why we watch.

Yes, this is the live tv show. They went to this show on their rookie year ( only had 4 songs under their name) after finish their own songs the MC asked them to do something more, so they had to do this song right away without any rehearsal. The rap part at the end wrote by JENNIE &LISA when they were tranee at YG for the monthly evaluation. That medley you mentioned is from the same show, they did that before this song, check it out 😊.

haha, yes! I knew Coach wouldn't let those sweet sweet Rose' vocals just pass by! About 4:25 Rose' comes in so strong, and to me, it is simply musical mastery as the four harmonize. It wouldn't work without all OT4 being so practiced and having that massive block of training behind them. This is one of the performances, that for me, proves how humble the members really are. They were "surprised" that they became so popular. As far as the copyright / blockage of the reactions: I am NOT an expert, but as far as I have seen, the most trouble seems to come from reacting to them being on Korean TV. That SBS logo (Seoul Broadcasting System) is one indication. Inkigayo or Blackpink House seem to hit some trouble spots. Mostly though, it seems YG is happy to let things fly, free advertising and all. 😁

"Sure Thing" cover is from JYP's Party People variety show, Episode 4 (only one season). JYP (Park Jin-young) is a first generation idol who started an entertainment company that is one of the "big 3" Korean entertainment companies. YG (Yang Hyun-suk) was a contemporary who founded YG Entertainment, BlackPink's label (also one of the "big 3"). {SM, the other "big 3" has a little different origin story}. K-pop is a deep hole to fall in. When you're ready for a guide, I'd recommend one of the "Ultimate" guides, some others are shorter, but the shorter they are, the more unanswered questions (like why is Jennie "Human Chanel"). If more interested in the group, Rice Squad's "The Revolution: A Story of BLACKPINK", kind of works as an addendum to "Light up the Sky".

Hey guys! Here's a little background on "PARTY PEOPLE" PARTY PEOPLE was a music/talk show hosted by JYP, the CEO of JYP Entertainment (one of the other "BIG 3 K-Pop companies in S. Korea) The show was filmed in a hotel nightclub and alcohol was served during taping! You can see JYP in this video at 7:09 in your reaction, when they cut to two guys bopping, JYP is the one with short hair and a vest. He's a nice guy, very personable. The girls said that they chose this song to perform because during their monthly evaluations, SURE THING was one that their CEO had praised them on. A personal story about this performance.BLACKPINK had performed for the first time in a US TV show, some comments on the video of their performance questioned whether they really sang during the performance, that is, they said that they only danced while lip syncing, putting doubt they could dance at that level while singing live! Maybe they weren't used to Western girl groups being able to dance and sing at the same time, however, I then suggested that they watch this live performance of "Sure Thing" to see if they could actually sing!

At the time, Jisoo, on the left with the 'purple' hair, didn't know english and basically learned it phonetically. She does an incredible job. Rosé has some sublime performances on the Korean show "Sea of Hope" and does a lovely cover of "Eyes Closed" by Halsey, and she and Ashley are now good friends, having met up in Paris. Although they don't have that many songs compared to other groups, but they have a lot of content, from live shows, to reality shows, Online concert (because of covid, Called The Show), Coachella and more. Also everyone blocks video's so to counter that you need to alter the content so it's not original anymore. Like putting a filter over it, or put a logo into the video or even top of your head in the video. A bit like Taylor Swift is doing with her music to make her older music hers again, by "remastering" it and changing little stuff. A lot of artist have cached onto that and are opening their own KZbin channel and releasing remasters of their older works to get their ownership back.

One thing that really amazed me was Lisa, Rose' & Jennie all speak fluent English but at this time jisoo did not speak much English

@@CoachCastTV Actually it's the opposite when Lisa began training she spoke no Korean and other were told not to speak English to her only Korean. Jennie helped her though. The girls have been helping jisoo over the years to speak some English. Lisa on the other hand has gone on to learn Chinese and Japanese so she speaks at least 5 languages now. She is adored in China and was on a TV show there training Chinese "idols"

Would you consider reacting to one of the fanmade guides. You watched the documentary but the guides give you more info on their individual personalities,traits,etc. Also the original version is amazing in its own right. Another possible reaction in the future?
