@@hoszhe yep, it turns out "bei" is the mandarin word for sadness. I was def wrong about the "pi" connecting to the song, but I feel like the connection still fits for this lyric teaser, seeing as there's blood in the background

The tonality is a bit ambiguous in the beginning. It sound like it should be in a major key because of the major chords, but then *that* chord change sounds like the V in a minor key. (It sounds like bIII - bVI - V - bVI - V - i to me, without checking at a piano. Makes sense, the first two chords would be I - IV in the relative major key.) Also totally getting Red Sun vibes, that was my first thought as well. It sounds awesome, I'm super excited to hear the full thing!
