To get that kind of response (in 20 seconds!) speaks volumes to the power of this song! ✌️🙂🎸

One of the greatest songs ever in my opinion. Also dig Dawn and Candy Girl. Frankie is about 85, still performs occasionally. Very good singer

Nobody had a voice like Frankie Vali. Listen to Oh, What a Night, Big Girls Don't Cry. You can't lose with any of them.

It's funny how ANYONE hears this song for the first time and they smile!!! You are right, sir, that it's not "substantive", but it's the simplicity that makes it great...

This is from the 1950's and the birth of rock and roll. There were many great songs, which is one of many reasons rock became popular and most of those songs were empty but very powerful musically. It's also one of the reasons why older people long for the 50's and want to bring society back to that time and the way that music made them feel.

Thank you so much for reacting to this song! My father used to sing it me when I was younger. If you have ever heard "Uptown Girl" by Billy Joel, he patterned it after Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.

Haha, no worries on the pronunciation. I pronounce it like "valley", just like you did, and that's the only way I've ever heard it pronounced. Love your channel!!

Y'all pronounced his name correctly. This falsetto voice was his main claim to fame. There is something satisfying about it.

I think you'd really love 💕🎶 to explore more of this group's songs. And if you want watch to a great movie about the group, watch "Jersey Boys". It follows the groups career, has wonderful music, and was directed by the great Clint Eastwood. It's based off the Broadway musical of the same name. If you want to just get an idea of what more of their music sounds like, look up the movie trailer on youtube. I discovered your channel several months ago and I really enjoy your reactions, and how you break down the lyrics as well. 😀 And I enjoyed reading more about you and where you come from on your bottom frame as you reviewed. And I wanted to also suggest more Bee Gees, Eagles, and Adele. Thank you and Bless you and keep up the great reviews.

The Four Seasons were always fantastic!! This is early '60s. You ought to check out their other hits...which are equally wonderful. As for mispronunciation, yes, I find it appalling that educated people here in the U.S., people who ought to know better, pronounce eye-ran and eye-raq for Iran and Iraq. This is ignorance on steroids.
