From Iowa, USA; OK, WOW ❗🤗🌹 1. An important thing to remember about AJ is that she refused to sign for a record deal through AGT and they relented and invited her to sing anyway. 2. AJ is currently signed with Republic Records. 3. AJ began singing at 18 months. Her grandmother was a jazz/blues fan and played that genre of music for AJ. She fell in love with it very early on and has even arranged most if not all that she sings from age 8. What an incredible talent. 4. Currently in 2022 she is in her mid-teenage years, stands 6 foot tall and still performs barefoot. The backstory of her encounter with the homeless girl she met while she traveled with her family through Iran at age 6 includes the weather damaged bare feet of the child she gave her own shoes to. 5. The reason she performs barefoot is to bring awareness to her public of the children worldwide who can't afford shoes of their own. She has raised millions of dollars for clothing including shoes for those unfortunate children. 6. AJ sews her own clothes, (the cloth is designed by her grandmother). 7. We all hope to enjoy her performances for many years to come. 8. BTW I'm 80 and have been involved privately in music since my age of 7. 9. This was always one of my favorite Elvis Presley songs even though it seems to be overlooked by Elvis fans. Even though I love Elvis and his voice and interpretation of this song I always loved the song itself. I think it has great lyrics and a wonderful melody to go with those lyrics, but when Elvis did a song, it was hard to concentrate on anything but him and his voice. I think Angelina's great skill is she gets inside a song and brings out the beauty of the material. And hearing her do this I can tell now that I was correct in thinking that this song is a real gem.

Medan, Indonesia here, 34 years old, with singing background. I was fortunate enough to live in Angelinas neighborhood in Norway (lived there for 7 years) when she grew up, and could follow her every step from the age of 7. Always loved how humble and polite she is after meeting her a few times, how sweet her family is, and how they have let her grow into her childhood and youth. What I love most about her, is the way she is able to convey emotions to my heart, and to us, how rich her voice is, and how well she uses her craft and talent. She has all the tools in her bag, and I love that she can pick up any tool she wants for various and different songs. And the toppings of the cake for me, is the fact that she is bringing jazz and soul back to life again. She did that as a child! Who does that? Well, Angelina is so unique, so talented, and we are so lucky to be here following her every step forward. And as a singer, I have learnt so much from her, from her back phrasing skills, to her way of taking her time when she sings. She is never rushing her singing, but always controlling the tempo. Btw, we named our daughter after Angelina. And we were also lucky enough to be there, at this particular concert. It was s very special experience 😊 Thank you Nate, for another wonderful reaction. Been a fan ever since Gloomy Sunday Billie Holiday version by Angel ina Jordan. I have seen almost every video of hers, some over and over. Such a gifted talented singer. Love, love. love her. Watched her grow and sing at different ages. And it’s incredible that her first language is not English and would you ever guess that?!! And it’s amazing that she sings in many languages. Nate thank you very much for your reaction and your personal stories. Angelina has taken us on an incredible journey and is has only just begun. Angelina has said she goes to a different place when she sings, a place filled with unending happiness and love. She has the talent to share that beautiful place with us. Angelina has no ego whatsoever, therefore is free unlike any other musical artist, to go places we can't imagine with her talent. I just had a thought that the emotion in her singing comes from a pure, innocent, genuine soul which is completely opposite of what we are used to. Sweden, ~280 km from Angelina's home town, Oslo, and even closer to Halden where these concerts are held once a week during the summer since 2007. I assume Angelina is studying at a school where musical education is a big part of the curriculum, and It's possible that recording an album at a pro studio gives her some credit for the final diploma. When it comes to ordernary school subjects, she once said she learns a lot more from traveling around the world with her family and meeting people from different cultures. There's one chance encounter that always comes to mind when thinking about this, the time she met the shoeless little girl who was taking care of her even younger siblings. No amount of lectures about poverty can match an experience like that.

Another great reaction to a performance by Angelina. I love the staging at this venue that puts her in the middle of the crowd. Her performances at home or in the studio are amazing but when in front of an audience it’s almost as if those emotions she is conveying come back to her and enhance the performance. I never liked jazz until hearing Angelina. I became curious about Jay Hawkins, Billie Holiday, etc. I still prefer Angelina. Imagine being ten or eleven and having back up singers. You wanted to know where your listeners live. For me that is a few miles inland from where the James and Elizabeth rivers flow into the Chesapeake Bay and the bay joins the Atlantic Ocean.

Hey Nate. Sending her your most hated songs is brilliant because you're right. She can transform any music you didn't necessarily appreciate when you first heard it and you end up finding a new appreciation for a sound or era that may even be negligent as it applies to your life. She brings that to the table. Let's face it, to think she can better than this is mind blowing. From ages eight through ten, Angelina's growth was astounding, legendary even. Greetings from germany. Yes great singers can make anything sound good. There was a show where they made singers use random prescription notes, food indrigents or built instructions for some stuff. They managed to actuallymake it sound good. Someone spotted a facebook post of republic records with some of their guys stating they never before had an artist that sang a complete album strait through, without any flaws whatsoever. Interestingly that post was quickly removed afterwards. I think everyone following the small bits and pieces of info on her for some time has no doubt who he was talking about ...

Here in the UK we are rapidly approaching our second wave of covid, fall is here now with lots of rain, winter is just around the corner. Hi Nate, you’re so right, Angelina does make every song she sings interesting to listen to even though it may be a song that was never a favorite. With Angelina, every song she she sings is like listening to it for the first time and hearing it in a different light, and just like that it becomes a favorite.
