Great mates and Aussie legends having a lot of fun together. John is the G.O.A.T. Can sing any genre. Jimmy is our rock, soul and blues icon. John loves his band, his audience and just loves performing. He could still perform like this into 70s. He is recovering from mouth cancer now. Jimmy had open heart surgery about 5 months ago but is back out touring again. Thank you for the creaction to our boys. 😍

Thank you so much for this, I love their mateship. (Aussies say Farn-m for Farnham.) John was singing until just a few years ago. He performed free in 2019 at Haymate, a benefit for fire relief for the bush and recognition of our firefighters. John was diagnosed with oral cancer and had fairly major surgery in 2022, including jaw reconstruction. He was in hospital for a considerable time, then rehab, but is singing again around the house and is currently cancer free. Just for your own benefit, let that video run a few seconds longer and hear John's comment about Jimmy.

Our Aussie triple J legends - John Farnham - English born Aussie. Jimmy Barnes - Scottish born Aussie. Johnny Diesel - American born Aussie. All 3 came to Australia as kids. Jimmy and Diesel are brothers in law (married to beautiful sisters). Diesel is a singer, songwriter and musician in his own right. To see all 3 perform together, you should react to John Farnham, Jimmy Barnes and Diesel singing "When Something Is Wrong With My Baby" live. When reacting to Aussie music, always listen to live performances - if our artists can't perform live, they didn't get any further. I've actually seen John Farnham 17 times live in concert. Seen both Jimmy and Diesel many times also, but never kept count lol.

Jimmy is just as big a Legend in Aus as John is. Jimmy is the hard rocker with a blues and soul edge and John is more Pop Rock although he sings many genres. John is the most awarded singer in Aus and Jimmy not far behine. They had not met before they recorded When Something is Wrong with my Baby together in 1991. Both admitted to being a little intimidated by the other, but once they got together it was the start of a decades long freindship and appreciation of each other. Just a shame they didn't sing together more often. Fyi this was actually a performance from 30 years ago. John was still singing well into his 70's with as much power and range up until covid struck. Then he got cancer A couple of years ago and had to have part of his jaw removed and reconstructed. He recovered and is now cancer free but he hasn't appeared in public since then. Although his family has said that his voice has not been affected and he can still sing. Jimmy is 6 or 7 years younger and is still performing and recording. Although he has also had some recent health issue with his heart. And Jimmy points to John and says Killer ...just before walking off stage referring to John's killer vocals. Jimmy has been quoted many times saying Farnham is the best vocalist in Aus. ❤ They have huge respect for each other.

This was 30 years ago, The original Cold Chisel version is still the best with Ian Moss, Jimmy Barnes started as the Cold Chisel frontman at age 17 in 1973. In 1983 Cold Chisel broke up and reformed 15 years later in 1998. Go down the Cold Chisel rabbit hole starting in the 70's you will have a lot of fun
