Actually, Kavinsky and Phoenix are french, and Angele is from Belgium. Actually the French and Belgian music scenes are very close

@@finalgame9048yes and many belgian contributed to the french speaking classics with some great songs. Think about Jacques Brel, Adamo, Maurane, Lara Fabian, Axelle Red, … and today Stromae, Angèle, Mentissa, Loïc Nottet, …

@@ericsicard910 The best french speaking music is belgian actually :). Stromae and Angèle won the award for best artists in France (Victoire de la musique) and Pierre Demaere won the best young artist. 3/4 of the belgian artists won the main awards last year (Mentissa was nominated too). And that's only the French speaking part of Belgium. There are a lot of terrific bands (pop/rock) in the north of the country : Deus, Wahraus, Selah Sue, Compact Disk Dummies, Brutus...

@@ivanlecky7563 belgian artists are terrific indeed but there are awesome french singers as well: Slimane, Pomme, Barbara Pravi, Zaz, Indila, Santa, Zaho de Sagazan, Vianney, Claudio Capeo, … (just to name a few)

@@ericsicard910 Yes for sure, French artists are great too. I don't like Slimane, Zaz, Vianney and Claudio Capeo but Pomme, Indila and Zaho are very good artists. I prefer the old french singers like Brassens, Feré, Barbara, Bashung... The french new scene isn't my kind of thing really

The band is Phœnix, the man with the glasses is Kavinsky, the singer name is Angèle

Angèle did a duet with Dua Lipa with the song “Fever”. They sang together during the Futur Nostalgia Tour and both live on dates in New York, London and Paris.

lmao phoenix + kavinsky + angele is legendary for those who actually know music as a cultural medium and not simply revel in mainstream all day long... Kavinsky is a Synthwave artist that is kinda responsible for exposing the general masses to the Synthwave genre from the movie drive this song is kinda first exposure to Synthwave for most

Nightcall is from Drive, which is based in LA. It's quite clever to play this as the flag is handed over to Los Angeles. Obviously lost on these two.

"LA part of the closing" was completely staged. This was live & they chose awesome French artists (Angele being from Belgium but extremely popular in France) instead of David Guetta or the likes. I very much liked the closing show, very impressive.
