To this day Future Friends is the album I put on in the car when I’m starting a solo trip. The sound goes up and I bop to wherever I’m going. Absolutely love this song and this gorgeous video - excited for the rest of the album. Thank you!!

This one is so freaking good! The lyrics are so expressive and relateable and sad, and the song is kind of vibey and hopeful. Kind of feels like that breath after you accept the end instead of fighting against it.

If no one has mentioned before, Future Friends album is the story of their relationship and breaking up and that journey. They have said in many interviews that they fought hard for their friendship after that.

PTX and Superfruit were both signed under RCA and they didn’t really promote either, except for PTX at Christmas, which has been how many fans have been introduced to the band. So many people know them as this “g-rated family, friendly Christmas band”, but this isn’t an accurate description of Superfruit. It’s amazing how many PTX fans to this day don’t even know Superfruit existed and imo RCA was happy to keep it that way because, unfortunately, certain portions of PTX’s “fan base” are rather vocal when the members don’t conform to their ideals of appearance or are open about their sexuality. RCA didn’t want to mess with the popularity of their Christmas cash cow by promoting Superfruit beyond the audience who already knew what they were about and what to expect from them.

It took me four years to find this album and some of it is my own fault, but they didn’t get any promotion. I hope they.will continue writing music together even if Superfruit never comes back from its hibernation. They are so good together musically.

They wrote this track with a songwriting / producing duo called NoiseClub. I don't understand how the current music business functions; I know DJs don't have the power they used to have to play music they like. Radio play requires the artists' label to heavily promote an artist to the radio stations program directors. And program directors don't like new artists because sometimes you need to hear something new a couple of times to "get" it, so they give the listeners music they already like. Plus I'm not sure radio play is as valuable as it used to be.

@@sannalopperi-vihinen233 you asked this 6 months ago but I’m rewatching this reaction so I thought I’d answer. They wrote bad4us in 2016 before the concept for the future friends album. They made an animated video to go with it to put it on their KZbin channel. Then in 2017 when they released part 1 of future friends and added bad4 us to ep part 1. They decided to release a video each week in the order of songs on the ep. Bad 4 us was the 2 nd song so it got a new video that was a real video and not just a thrown together animated one.
