Would love to see you guys tear into Somewhere in Time. That album has absolutely no filler, no 'skip' songs. Just greatness beginning to end.

Really? I was greatly disappointed with it. It wound up being the last Maiden album I purchased because of it.

This was the first LP I bought, just because I loved the cover. And thus begun my love for Maiden.

This entire album is so unique and creative, it's the greatest metal album ever, I remember when this came out, I was 13 years old and heard it on cassette, it brings back so many memories growing up and Iron Maiden are my favorite metal band of all time and this album will always have a place in my heart. Up the irons and thank you so much.

"Piece of Mind" is my favorite Maiden album and has a special place in my heart being a young teen when it was released. The way the album begins sets a tone for the album unlike any except maybe my favorite band Queensryche (original Ryche)

This is the heaviest album from them by far. And the performances by each member on this are top notch. Songwriting ... this album has my favorites , this thing is just banging on all 8 man. And the last tune just pounds that home !!!

Glad someone else thinks that Piece of Mind is Maiden's best album. It was my first introduction to Maiden. I would love to see you do the same for Number of the Beast and Powerslave. Two other great albums by Maiden IMO. MCA would like your take on the first 2 songs released on Maiden's new album Senjutsu. Thanks

I used to own it on vinyl, one of the best albums I ever heard and the cover was fantastic, in the back of the album it shows them having a brain in the middle of a feast at a big table if I'm not mistaken, this was in the early 90's, too bad I was too young when it came out but I miss that freaking album, pure quality and that sound can't be replicated when streaming.

My godmother, an astout pacifist, left-leaning kind of person, gave me this album as an LP when I was 10 years old - i have ni idea what went into her... That album instantly became my favorite; I'd learn all the lyrics by heart (helped me tremenduously with honimg of my english--skills (I'm g)rman) and got me admittance to my fathers stereo set, since I had noc record player of my own... Now, fourty years later, this music still gets me singing along, banging my head to the rhythm - thank you for uploading this!

Yes truly one of the best if not the best metal albums of all times. FYI Bass in the beginning is a 5th. Not a octave. So, ya know ;)

Dream Theater did a great cover of this song. Not the same, not as good, but still great. And a fittingly epic song for Dune.

Piece of mind was the first Maiden album I bought and yes it's a classic but then again all 80s maiden albums are classic. This is a very melodic album like beast is but not quite the bite of beast and killers as maiden moved away from their Punk influences. Not my personal favourite, I'd put most of the eighties albums above it in my preference but it's a died in the wall true classic and the irony is To tame a land is my favourite closer above my faverite albums closer Hallowed and my second favorite albums closer Rime. To me the album got a couple of weaker songs on it and there the ones that are sorrt of moving maiden into a more pop less punk feel. Totally my own perferance but I do adore Mind with a passion.

If you want to be unique, you should react to their more recent stuff! A matter of life and death, Book of Souls or even Final Frontier! We ´ve seen enough of number of the beast, powerslave and reaction to all their old stuff. Time to stand out!
