It is disturbing to see such criminal acts being committed with impunity in the western world. Let's hope this does not evoke a violent response from the so called ‘muslim extremist groups’ The Muslim Umma must respond to this by issuing a joint statement censuring this act in the strongest words. The Umma should also impose trade restrictions or other sanctions if serious action is not taken against these criminals, and measures aren't enforced to prevent this from happening in future.

It is easy to express anger, I was told Sweden is a great place when it comes to immigration. That they have a long history of welcoming immigrants. What changed now, why is the country now drifting away? You see, humans always point fingers and refuse to acknowledge the root cause of unwanted behavior. Religious people sometimes push people to the point of hate by their lack of respect which they promote in the name of God. This happens all the time in many religions. We should learn to resolve the root cause of a strive in other to address it properly rathar than an emotional outburst that ends up fueling what you are trying to stop

Just as an aside before I write: Finlands police authority made it clear today that should anybody decide to burn the Quran as part of a demonstration, that would be prohibited and the demonstration shut down. So it is possible to draw a line at such a point and seems to be doable and still remain a western Nordic democracy with free speech. Now to the point. I think what Ammar says obviously makes sense. But. Freedom of speech is about covering that which does not make sense. Which is deemed offensive. Which is deemed extreme. Which is "out there". Bizarre. Hurtful. Even a lie. We would not need to have it as part of Constitutional Law unless it was for that reason. If speech or writing did not evince such emotions or such perceptions, why would we need to protect the speech on that level? Even so, there are Libel laws and there are in some nations laws against incitement or "Hate Speech". This last thing, "Hate speech", has divided the western world and is part of what is colloquially termed "Culture Wars" that is ongoing in the West. Let us leave that to the side for the moment. We recognise that Free Speech is never absolute. What Ammar seems to miss is that Paludan is very much labeled. Burning a rainbow flag makes you homophobic and insulting Anne Frank makes you antisemitic. And Paludan is deemed an idiot, a rabble rouser, an antiintellectual moron (actually said indirectly by the leader of the Sweden Democrat party) and indeed an islamophobe and hater of muslims. This is all quotes or citations or refrences to Nordic media by the way. I agree with these labels but I did not come up with them all on my own. Anybody who is mistaken into thinking that Paludan is some welcome and celebrated member of Nordic mainstream society needs to educate themselves. So if labelling is a concern I hope that can be addressed by this. But. What I think is the misunderstanding here is that remarks about Anne Frank or burning of rainbow flag och any of those other things are illegal. They are not deemed illegal in Sweden. You have not technically broken the law. You have broken a social contract, you have broken good taste and societal norms. But you have not broken the law. As such, the government or police in Sweden are unable to act to put a stop to this. Mind you, in 2017 just as an example, the Swedish police gave a permit to NMR, the Swedish Nazi organisation, to walk in a demonstration shouting hateful slogans against Jews right by the Synagogue of Gothenburg while they were celebrating Yom Kippur (!). I mean by this that to characterize it as being only Muslims or Islam that are getting pilloried in Sweden is wrong. What happened to Rebecka Wallenquist (or however she spells it) was not a result of any legal action on behalf of the Swedish government or any entity tied to it. It was a decision taken by the Sweden Democrat party. And by the way she is still a member and still holds a salary doing work for them last I checked. Ake Green, the Swedish pastor who made hateful statements clearly homophobic, back in early 2000s was sentenced in the lower courts but exhonerated by the Supreme court of Sweden. It was deemed that what he said was covered by his constitutional rights. So again, there is no exemption for either Jews or Homosexuals in Sweden to be lampooned or insulted or denigrated as far as the law and government is concerned. It really is a free for all. Even Holocaust denial is covered, which has resulted in Sweden being censored by other western countries many times for allowing it. However. Society (other than the law and government) might react harder if Jews or Homosexuals are insulted rather than if it happens to Muslims. You need to figure that out yourselves why that is so. How it is that you are loosing the perception and acceptance war. See you don´t see gays, lesbians or Jews going apeshit over these insults, rioting and screaming and getting violent making death threats (even worse, carrying them out like the Charlie Hebdo case). Do you? But insult Islam or any of it´s figures or books and parts of the world are set on fire. And shortly, you might burn yourself so to speak! This difference is something Muslims need to address. Desperately. Because it does make Muslims look like savages who are incapable of controlling themselves. It would seem that is the best that can come out of the acts of deliberate provocateurs like Paludan, to address and rectify this. Paludan is a moronic little antiintellectual turd, a position even the right wing Sweden Democrat party leader hints at, who nobody should pay any attention to rather than fan his flames, literally and figuratively. He has no standing in Nordic society. Don´t provide it to him by giving him attention.

Islam or... unadulterated truth? "You will understand that the Father is in Me, and I am in you." Oh, if muslims would understand... Through Christ, God gave us back the divine life mankind lost in its fall. Hence the divine healing miracles and casting out of demons, we experience up to this day. To not see God in Christ.... is impossible. "The Father and I are one!" "If you see Me, you see the Father!" "Don't you believe that the Father is IN Me?" "ALL (!) AUTHORITY in heaven and earth has been given to Me!". (Only God has all authority). At healing the paralytic: "Your sins have been forgiven you!" (Only God can forgive sins). "I am THE (not a) light of the world"......: God. "I have come to give you Zoë (=divine life) in abundance".... Only God can give Zoë life. "I am from above, you are from beneath. You are from this world, I am not from this world"..... Etc, etc, etc, When He explained these things, healed the sick, casted out demons, raised the dead, controlled nature for 3 years, they all worshipped Him as God/Messiah.... except for the critical scholars and farisees! He NEVER said: "Don't worship Me, I am just a prophet!". The Jews wanted to stone Him because: "You claim to be God". So Jesus is God manifesting in Human form. Period. Glad He did. So now we finally know the sayings and actions of God. Next step. To not see Jesus bringing the divine life of the ages back to you-manity.... is impossible. "I will send Holy Spirit, the same as Me, He will be IN you, guide you into truth and give you explosive power to heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out demons, etc, etc" "Follow Me, the miracles I do, you will do too" "God is IN you" "The Kingdom of God is IN you" "He who meets you, meets Me". "You and I are one" "You will understand that the Father is IN Me and I am in you" "See, I have given you power over all the forces of the enemy" "I have come to give you Zoë (=divine life) in abundance!" Etc, etc, etc. Hence the divine healing miracles and casting out of demons with His first 12+72 friends. As i understood these things, i experienced healing miracles and the casting out of demons already thousands of times and many other true believers do too. Yay! Conclusion of Paul after having revelation and healing all on Malta: "Jesus, the exact image of the invisible God. The fullness of deity dwells in Jesus bodily" and you have been made complete IN Him (the last Adam), who is the head of every principality and power". John (who had seen, touched, heard Jesus and walked in the same power and love): "the invisible God manifested in human form, in Christ and now in us". Thomas having revelation saying to Jesus: "My Lord and My God!". Jesus being God did NOT correct Him. Etc, etc, etc. His life totally proves He is God in human form. Begotten by the Spirit of God, filled with the spirit of God, healing all, raising the dead, casting out demons, controlling nature, raised from the dead, pouring out His Spirit for us to be indwelled by to be empowered to heal the sick and cast out demons, etc, etc, etc. Way to much to degrade Him to "just a prophet". So... Jesus is the manifestation of God in a human body.... "the Son" of God. He came to take the alienation away mankind got trapped in after the fall. He came to give us back the divine life Adam/mankind lost in its fall. Because of this fall, a perfect Holy sacrifice had to be made. That is what God did in Christ! It shows His deep, pure, affectionate passion from Him to you/His creation, to restore you back to origin: Christlikeness. Walking in divine power and unselfish divine love. Jesus walked flawless. Muhammed on the other hand.... Muhammed came after Jesus. He unfortunately never understood God's resolve for mankind's fall, wrote another story, called it the only truth, cutting of the real truth, leading millions astray from their godly identity in Christ. Heartbreaking. But for those who take Jesus for who He is and ask to be filled by His godly Holy Spirit.....: divine life. Tangible presence of God, healings, demons running for cover, etc. Just as with His first 12+72 friends. God will make you experience the full (godly) Life made possible through Holy Spirit. So don't be afraid to leave islam. God can only be found in/through Jesus Christ. Ask Him to fill you with His/God's Holy Spirit so He can guide you into truth and transform your life. You and God/Jesus are finally one again. He will open your eyes and give you Zoë (divine life). You will be growing into Him in all things. The life you see in Him and His first 12+72 friends. I experience it since 25 years and so will you.

Thje law should protect the interests of the living and the recently deceased. Anne Frank fits that description. The Quran is just a printed book that cannot be "harmed". People can express dissatisfaction or disagreement by burning books, flags or Qurans because it does not harm anyone. Personally, I am not that fond of it, but I value that it is a democratic right.
@TheNobleLion24
@TheNobleLion24 Жыл бұрын
I'm not entirely sure if you're trolling or if you genuinely hold such an absurd viewpoint. In the first place, that definition is beyond arbitrary. What qualifies as "recently deceased"? Anne Frank died in 1945. Are you suggested that after a couple hundred years, it would be ok to insult her? Morever, the world doesn't work like that. Living people get insulted all the time for their beliefs, opinions, and way of living. Lets not pretend the law does anything about most of these situations. Your point of harm also makes little sense. The Quran is a symbol of a group of people, burning it means you are inciting hatred towards said people and therefore are, in fact, hurting them. The consequences of such a thing is a lot more far reaching than insulting a living person today. You need to re-evaluate your "value of the democratic right".
@concerned_parent
@concerned_parent Жыл бұрын
@@TheNobleLion24 My point of harm makes a lot of sense. For example spreading lies or even distorted truths about a living man could cost him his livelyhood. I am not sure if you have seen "The Most Hated Family in America" about the westboro baptist church who are so convinced of being "right" that they travel around testing the borders of free speech. in the documentary you can see that they show up with sings saying all gays should burn etc. at a funeral of a soldier who died in Iraq and whose obituary showed he was gay in some way. The police sent the Westboro Baptist Church members away about 400 yards because they argue that the right of free speech should be balanced with the right of the parents, siblings etc. of the fallen soldier to have a dignified funeral in peace. I fully agree with the police there. Even if the fallen soldier has died and will not be harmed, he was recently deceased and his family's interest are harmed. Religious objects and people who died a long time ago do not need protection from harm. If someone says your father was a terrible person you could still get boycotted or suffer other forms of harm. If someone says 4 centuries ago one of your ancestors was a terrible person, people usually do not need protection from harm. With htose types of lengths of times people do not feel accountable and others will not hold them accountable. Anne frank has few relatives and friend that survived left, but I think she deserves protection from harm because there are still holocaust deniers and virulent anti-semites who will focus on her, monuments about her etc. which can harm living people. I do not think Muhammed, Aisha etc. need protection from harm. I do not think Allah needs protection from harm. I do not think people should be able to make others accountable for their religious feelings. If you feel love for some objet of worship....fine. But someone else may mock it. That is healthy. Placing religious objects in some untouchable realm is unhealthy. Look at how Amahdyyia and Shia are persecuted. Look how blasphemy laws are abused to get rid of people. A quarrel with your neighbour? Accuse them of blasphemy and they'll be gone. Blasphemy gives power to people that they do no handle well. So disallow blasphemy laws. If someone disagrees with parts of your religion and burns a Bible, Torah or Quran or a flag. Fine.
@TheNobleLion24
@TheNobleLion24 Жыл бұрын
@@concerned_parent It's not the people who died or religious objects that need protection from harm, but the people who get harmed as a result of incited hatred. If burning the very symbol of a people is tolerated, then tomorrow some lunactics will test those boundaries by burning the people themselves. There's a big difference between disagreement and hatred. A Sunni muslim may argue and debate with a Shia muslim, that's fine. However, the extremist will outright kill the Shia muslim out of hatred. That's the difference between disagreement and hatred. Ambigious regulation of hate speech is one thing because like you said, that can be dangerous. However, burning people's symbol is another entirely. You don't burn rainbow flags, religious texts, objects that are symbols of a people, countries' flags, and the likes out of disagreement, it's out of pure hatred. Any sane person can see that. Moreover, if Quran burnings continue to happen in front of people's faces, someone WILL get hurt. It's a dangerous and forseeable conclusion.
@concerned_parent

@@TheNobleLion24 If you want to burn a rainbow flag in an organised protest: be my guest. I do not agree with it, but I would not want to prohibit it. Of course hate-crimes can be related if you transgress beyond saying you hate a system or laws and start extending it to hating specific gays or others that can be harmed. No. I vehemently oppose blasphemy laws were people's emotions around symbols start being abused to control others. Drawing Muhammed, Burning Qurans..... if people want to: they are free to do so. If Muslims claim they cannot control their emotions and just had to act....lock them up, just like with rapists and other false claims. It is your life and in your control. Just walk by and ignore it. Or hold a counter-demonstration about how much you love Islam. Or do something constructive.

@@concerned_parent That's my point though, regardless of your stance on the issue, you SHOULDN’T burn a rainbow flag because it incites hatred against a group of people. It's not an expression of disagreement. Nobody's talking about blasphemy laws, not like that's possible in the West or European countries anyway. Only that such actions should be condemned at the very least. Just because you're free to do something, doesn't mean you should do it. I'm not going to attack you in a straw man attempt, but I certainly hope that isn't a hidden bitterness I sense. Looks like our worldviews simply differ. If you are calling on a stop to such provoking actions and advocating tolerance then you also must totally clear yourself from discussing points relating to what the Shaykayn did whom even the Imams didn't mention the way you do nor did thry make a big deal of it on where they erred (you even quote Quran on them as if those verses were just meant so that all Muslims know about what they did and nothing more - Don't you see there are no name and so it is ideally meant for a lessons rather than to get stuck on knowing identities only, whenever we read it).
