Hi from the west of Scotland, UK. Thanks for the reaction to this video. These aren’t really adverts they are P.S.A’s public service announcements. The would be shown on British tv after the 9pm watershed when the kids are all in bed . If it’s one thing the brits do better than most is not shy away from difficult, important and sometimes disturbing things that people need to be aware of. Take care and stay safe 😘🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

As a brit I think it's important to know that these are not what you would call commercials, they are public health announcements and before they come on TV they are announced so that parents can remove children from the room if they want to. Most parents don't though, we watch this stuff as kids and it truly does help us as adults going into the world because we know how bad life can be. It makes us ready and cautious and prepares us for the hardship of life. America has a happy go lucky view of the world and brushes the hardships under the rug, in Britain we are almost trained as kids to know to not fuck about in the world because it's tough. It helps us.
