I actively didn't like U2, until I was given tickets to ZooTV in Melbourne, Australia. That night changed my life. I went out the next day and bought the entire back catalogue. Have seen them four times. They are beyond anyone else live. ZooTV Sydney 1993 captures the magic.

One of the most amazing aspects of this tour was screens had never been used at a concert before. It looks normal now back back then it was so futuristic and mind blowing.
@Balfour. Жыл бұрын
Not only that - First live music show ever to include a cat walk to the center of the stadium. Everyone followed suit after. ZooTV was absolutely pioneering and as innovative and spectacular as Pink Floyd's The Wall but no one talks about it because you know... it's U2.

Saw them at Wembley stadium (london) in 1993 on this tour. It was an absolutely amazing show. And being in the days before camera phones, everybody (All 80,000 of us) just lived in the moment. Amazing.

The Edge has been my favourite guitarist since childhood,because of his ability to paint pictures in my head,from what Bono is singing about. They are one of the biggest bands in the world for a reason,every member is beyond talented! Adam Clayton on the bass tends to not get the love he deserves,but in New Years Day he OWNS that song,i named it Adams song for sure! Love his bass during that entire song,it carries the song to perfection! This concert was not long after they had gotten the soundtrack for Batman,so Bono channeled his inner Joker several times on stage lol.

I feel like “Until the End of the World” is one of the most iconic U2 songs that most people don’t know. Achtung Baby had 5 singles, and UTEOTW wasn’t one of them, and shows how amazing that album is. To me this song is as emblematic of The Edge’s guitar sound as anything on Joshua Tree. The lyrics are fantastic, funny, borderline blasphemous to anyone uptight. The end of song is the sound of the end of the world. I remember the first time I heard this song was when I watched the band get inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2005. I was in high school and falling deeply in love with this band. I was blown away, I had never heard anything like this song…and still haven’t. This song is such a massive fan favorite and the band plays it on almost every tour. They played it when they inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as I mentioned, but again it isn’t a famous U2 song, that just shows how much the band loves this song. Seeing it live is always insane…and the album version is also incredible. I would say it is a perfect U2 song. One that I always forget isn’t well known by most!

You two are so much fun to watch! Your reactions are awesome! U2 is my all time favorite band since 1987. I never get tired of them, new or old songs, I love them all

It's also worth noting 1) that the tour (ZooTV) supporting this album (Achtung Baby) was firing on all cylinders for almost 22 months at this point; and 2) this is band who had in their arsenal at the time: Where the Streets Have No Name, I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For, With or Without You, Pride (In the Name of Love), Sunday Bloody Sunday, New Year's Day, Angel of Harlem, I Will Follow, Bad, Desire, All I Want is You, and several other hits. And yet they still opened with 6 straight songs from Achtung Baby. That's how much confidence they had in that album and how much the crowd loved it. Vegas can't get here soon enough!

Epic just pure epic, U2 one of the greatest live acts ever, even if you are not a fan you still have to admit that they put on one hell of a show, would love to see you do a reaction to either U2 with Please live from the MTV Europe awards or U2 with October/Bullet the blue sky live from Paris 2015

I’ve seen U2 upwards of 90 times live. First time was in 83, up until I saw multiple shows at Las Vegas Sphere. Bono and the boys bring this energy every show and they’ve done so for close to 50 years. That’s why they’re one of the greatest to ever do it. If you haven’t seen them live, then you must. It’ll change you!!

The first 2 tunes from this same show are IMO a peak in music that has as yet never been surpassed. 'Zoo station ' and 'The Fly ' as an opening to a show was just mind blowing at the time and decades ahead of time in every way. This show just blew my mind when I saw it - all 17 nights of it.

A note about Until The End Of The World. It's the title track for a movie of the same name that came out in 1991. One of the craziest, "WTF did I just watch?", and LONGEST movies you will ever see (it's 5 hours long!). It's one of my personal favorite movies, but I'm also insane (clearly, if I'm willing to sit down an watch a 5 hour long movie), so there's that. I'm not really a big U2 person, so I'm not 100 percent sure, but it might be the first song they ever made for a movie. They'd go on to make songs for other movies such as "Hold me. Thrill me. Kiss me. Kill me." from Batman Forever.

That was one of the best live two-fors songs you will ever see/hear! Both of those songs are Ikonic and especially live, they have both been in the set list since they were published and End of the World especially has other unreal takes from different tours in the last 30 years, it is worth just searching YT for that song live, there are a bunch of great versions waiting to be viewed. Enjoy! 🎵🎸🎤🎹🎶

I saw U2 on this tour in the Georgia Dome, Atlanta Georgia. The band opened with Zoo Station. Bono came out last and was on all the video screens at the same time. You couldn't tell which one was on the screen and which one was him! 68,000 people stood up... no one sat down for the whole show. Bono owns the room when he steps into it. I've never seen anything else remotely close to it.

They do have someone who plays keyboard / controls backing tracks etc. I wish that they'd put him on stage full-time. They've done it before, and have always acknowledged that it happens. I would just like to see the person up there actually jamming with them.
