R&B artist Stephanie Mills actually sang this song first in the original Broadway musical in 1974, but Whitney's beautiful, powerful voice is undeniable in this version.

One funny story about this performance was that: the tempo was quite slow, and gave difficulty for whitney to sing, so her mom, cissy houston, went straight behind the scene and replaced the music director and there Cissy commanded the music.

Great reaction/review. I would respectfully suggest you listen the original version sung by R&B great Stephanie Mills. Stephanie originated the role of Dorothy in The Wiz on Broadway in 1975 and the song "Home" became her signature song and a #1 R&B hit. I think you would be impressed by her vocal prowess. Not a comparison between her and Whitney but she should not be overlooked since she originated and popularized the song.

How about reacting to Sigrid who won the national price as best Norwegian singer in 2019! She is up there with Angelina and Aurora and is touring the worlds concert arenas! I suggest you pick «Dynamite» first. Especially the version performed at The Nobel peace price concert.
