Three of the four members are brothers. Also, the town they are from in Michigan is a semi-famous Christmas town called Frankenmuth. And they got the name for their band from one of the residents of Frankenmuth, a little old lady named Gretna VanFleet.

Out of all the reactions I've seen, I think you're the first one who got a full grasp on what the lyrics are about, especially the importance of the drums at the beginning of the song.
