Light Uchiha Um if you watch the anime Sakura kept naruto alive long enough for the other half of the ninetails to go into him, Hagoromo wouldn't have been able to save naruto from losing his tailed beast considering he didn't get any better UNTIL Minato was like come here. If Sakura wasn't feeding him chakra and healing, naruto would've died I'm pretty sure that's why kishimoto emphasizes how much chakra she's using, she has to match a tailed beasts chakra that's constantly depleting.

The big long process to extract tailed beasts before was because only a live person with the Rinnegan can summon the Geddo statue, but Nagato's were given to him by Obito and were originally Madara's after he evolved his Mangekyō Sharingan. Now that the eye(s) are with his rightful owner he can use their real power, although I must admit that it would be cool if Madara used more of the Rinnegan abilities.
