Yes, that was Igor Krutoy in the front row giving Dimash a standing ovation. That was the first time he’d seen Dimash perform. And we all know what happened after that! 🤗🌷

Dimash was born to a mother soprano singer and had been trained in classical music, both piano and vocals, since he was five till nineteen, when he graduated with a Major in bel canto. He got two offers - a place in Astana opera, or to be sent to Italy to hone his singing in opera. He refused both and instead graduated from university with a Major in contemporary music, and a Master in composition in postgraduate. Dimash is belangual, his Kazakh and Russian placed equally enough. His Japanese in Ikanaide is so good and his understanding of the lyrics so profound, that the lyricist said he would very much like to hear Dimash in some of his other songs. His Mandarin is also very much appreciated in China. The Chinese invite him to sing songs of their classical legacy again and again on their special events, and they are very particular about their cultural treasures, rarely allowing foreigners to perform them. Why he doesn't master the European languages is something he may have an answer to, we don't know why, some Europeans are very touchy about it, almost snobbish, but his real fans not so much. They even started missing his Dinglish, when he tried to polish his English. This is about some of the comments below. Hi from Germany! This isn't a negative comment but I believe that Dimash would never try to outshine any partner, especially such a legend, it's against his culture and the young man that he is. I believe you two were interested in listening to Dimash sing in a smaller range, so here you go! They sing beautifully and I enjoy listening to the two of them singing together. In a performance with other singers, I've noticed he always sings to highlight his partner(s), a true gentleman demonstrating nothing but respect for the people he sings with and the audiences, it's never a competition - I'm thinking especially of Dimash's performance singing "Ti amo cosi" with Aida Garafullina (famous opera soprano) and Lara Fabian; with Igor accompanying them on the piano - what perfection! I do believe that the last chord they sing, Dimash takes the highest note, not Aida. :)

Dimash used to watch cassettes of Plasido Domingo when he was still very young and always wished he would meet him some day. It looks ,Ike his dream came true. I have been listening to this over and over. It's just incredible 🎼🎶🎶😍

Hola👋 Gracias por hacer este maratón de canciones de Dimash🤗 Me recuerda la primera vez que escuché a Dimash, hace poco más de un año. Ese día empecé por SOS y seguí escuchando una canción tras otra, incluyendo documentales, desde el mediodía hasta alrededor de las 4 o 5 de la madrugada del día siguiente sin parar. Menos mal que era fin de semana.😅🤭 Es que cuando se trata de Dimash nunca es suficiente. Respecto a la experiencia de estar en un concierto de Dimash, en diciembre estuve por primera vez, en su último concierto en Hong Kong. Les aseguro que fue sobrepasó TODAS mis expectativas. ¡Fue cósmico!. Lo recomiendo 💯👍 Gracias😊

Hola chicos. Ayer no pude estar con ustedes en vivo, pero luego ví todo el programa. A esa hora me es imposible porque estoy en horario laboral. Pero me encantó que puedan reaccionar a varias canciones de Dimash. Se que deben opinar igual que yo, que él es un genio, un chico único. Muy educado, bien preparado, con licenciatura en canto lírico y contemporáneo , maestría en composición y doctorado en musicología, es sumamente profesional y perfeccionista, con conciencia social y un mensaje constante de paz en su discurso. Y nos pone de ejemplo a los Dears ya somos de distintos paises, religiones, pensamientos, pero nos une la música que él nos regala, y de esa forma nos comunicamos y lo llevamos en paz. Él es de verdad fabuloso. Con el maestro Plácido mostró su admiración y respeto, tanto por lo que representa desde lo musical como por ser un persona mayor, y él tiene gran respeto por los mayores. Él se adaptó al maestro y por ningún motivo se quiso poner por encima, él no hace eso en ningún dueto, y tiene el talento y la capacidad para ello, conocemos sus enormes habilidades. Ikanaide es hermosa y su interpretación, que es en vivo donde él está (estaba en China), fue su participación en el Tokio Jazz Festival, que estaba invitado, pero era tiempo aún de pandemia. Me parece que es una clase maestra la que nos da en esta que es la versión japonesa, pues está Aurum Strong que es la versión china. Es profunda y llena de emociones, y la he visto mil veces, jajaja. Know, bueno, espectacular y tiene versión maravillosa vocalizada, en Kiev. Espero reacciones a Daybreak en Bastau, Mademoiselle Hyde, Your love, El amor de los cisnes cansados, El amor es como un sueño. Al regalo que nos dió en su cumpleaños 29 el año pasado, Omir, y mucho mucho más. Ustedes serán unos Dears más muy pronto. Su próximo concierto es en Budapest el 4 de mayo. Pura vida, desde Costa Rica 🇨🇷❤️🇰🇿

Dimash recorded this live in his studio for the Tokyo Jazz Festival 2020 because of travel restrictions due to Covid 19. He also did Samaltau, and I think River of Love. That last one is an instrumental with Dimash playing the dombra. It is a beautiful piece, and Dimash still commands the stage sitting cross-legged and playing the instrument without saying a word. By the way, there is nothing wrong with your head. It is shaped perfectly and you look great. Yes, that was Igor, and heard Dimash for the first time. This performance caused Igor to come out of retirement to compose music for Dimash.

Dimash is not very popular in the West only because he does not sign contracts with large production companies, so there is no large investment in advertising, Dimash wants to be free in his creativity

Dimash has a devoted fan base here in the US, but yes he's not well known here. Even so, I salute Dimash's choices, and love him for it!

I would say it's more that he still has problems with English pronunciation so his songs in English still have some problems to work out. He is steadily improving though so it will be fun if he ever takes that next step. Don't get me wrong I LOVE Dimash and I have for many years now.

When you watch other performances with Dimash in a duet or trio you will find that he has an amazing ability to match the other person's vibrato. You hear it very well at the end of this song and when he sings Ti Amo Cosi (which I highly recommend you react to) with a Lara Fabian and Aida Garifullina he is able to match each of the other's vibrato when he's singing with one or the other.
