RM’s new album is so worthy of a Grammy.
@airyfairy23963 ай бұрын
12:25 I totally agree with your comment. RM created his music without being preoccupied with commercial popularity or chart performance. If he had wanted to, he could have collaborated with famous international artists and gained more public attention, but he simply showcased the musical world he pursued with indie musicians he liked and wanted to work with. Some might easily say that because he's already succeeded as BTS, he can now make whatever music he wants. However, it's never easy for someone who has achieved great success to make a principled choice knowing it might not measure up to their previous accomplishments. I am very proud of him, and I'm proud that he is the leader of BTS.

Actually, Throga, a good way of approaching RM’s latest work is to listen to the whole album and review it as a whole: it is a musical delight in terms of composition and instrumentation. You of all people would appreciate that. So it would be great if you could do that with Indigo as well, and D2 and D Day for Suga. They are serious songwriters and producers who conceptualise powerful albums, that deserve to be seriously reviewed.

Strongly agree- I really would love to see their reactions to the entire album, I think they’d enjoy it and have a lot to pick apart

I’d even say, in Throga’s “spare time” 😉 to watch the SleepDeez & Varnell (2 hip hop producers, 1 army, 1 new to bts) listening to and reacting to the album. They’ve got such deep knowledge it widened my appreciation of this gem. (ANY army should follow Sleep Deez, he’s amazing)

RM's solo album is insanely good. There's nothing K-Poppy about it. Critics already praised it as one of the best albums of 2024. It is without question the best of the BTS solos.

YOU MUST LISTEN TO THE WHOLE ALBUM!! IN ORDER!!! PLEASE!!!! I loved Indigo so much I couldn't imagine a better album from him and then he released Right Place Wrong Person and I was in awe. I love the album sooooo much!! My current obsession is Around the World in a Day feat Moses Sumney. I really hope you all do a full album reaction. Thanks as always.

def not a harry styles influence lmao. :) but influence of his friends, "Balming Tiger" in terms of yeah organic and raw instruments. One of the member of the group Balming Tiger worked with him in this song and his album Right Place Wrong Person. some of Balming Tiger's music sounds like this.

You should watch his MMM (Mini & Moni) music it was a sit down conversation with Jimin reviewing this new album. He got really personal with Jimin about why he did this album and where he was at emotionally at the time,he wasn’t in a good place emotionally and mentally for quite a while. But writing & releasing this album really seemed to help him get into a better place.

RM's genius is evident in this song. it's soft, simple with a sweet bit of sophistication that he doesn't often use, especially when he raps and the underground rapper comes out. They all seem to have multiple sides to them, and I love them all!

Because ARMY told them to do whatever they want, and they listened. We got their backs no matter what.

They’ve always have done musically what they wanted to do and had the support and trust of their label, taking financial risks, to do it. ARMY’s support have giving them the shield they needed from attacks and abuse from the k-pop industry juggernaut, bcse of their talent, originality, and drive to perfection

I’m so hoping this extends to them breaking the bonds of idols “having to” stay single. We need a “Love Wins” campaign for bts! 👊🏼 😂

Gentle reminder: At the end of your Oct. 14, 2023, you two identified your BTS biases and then Richard commented, "We'll ask this question of ourselves six months from now, after we've got a broader, better picture of everything, and see if that changes." It's been six months; do y'all have an update for us?

For me this song and video is so much about the different roles you can have in life or others put you in and how you're not going to feel comfortable in any of them if you don't "come back" and reconnect with yourself first. Plus I think RM used "the sea" and "spring" in the meanings ARMY would know what to do with ❤ and needles to say - the cinematography ❤ (do you guys know they played the MV in Cannes? 😊).

RM's music and MVs are pure art. You are right, that's how it feels to me, that their fame and money finally made them experiment and explore to their hearts content without any constraints . I am all here for it, it's glorious! 💜💜💜

Thank you for reacting to our OT7 solos.RM really did an amazing job on his new album! I love all the songs but i have favorite songs, like GROIN ( i find the lyrics naughty but there's truth behind it and i love RM on this song because he just bursted out what he feels when he was writing this song) NUTS, a playful RM with cool sounds and DOMODACHI. I hope you can do 2nd round of their solos.More power Richard and Johnny!!! 💜💜💜🫰🫰🫰

Yes! I screamed at spotify in my car today because JHope’s Equal Sign is so criminally short! I frequently find myself wishing (JHope especially) would add another verse or even repeat the chorus. TY RM for taking your time.

I LOVE the arrangements in this song, it's something so different than what we've heard from them before this. I love the strummed acoustic, the walking bass line, the whistle melody. That final section when the electric guitar comes in reminds me a lot also of John Mayer. He's got such fantastic musicians playing on this

There was an intriguing comment in... was it in Weverse Magazine? that while RM worked with all of his heroes in Indigo, RPWP features his peers, and in a lot of ways it's his return to the underground scene. It makes me VERY CURIOUS where he's going to go with his third album... because we all know how much he likes doing things in threes. ^_^ (Up-and-coming artists, maybe?) And it should come as no surprise that while all the songs would probably be classed as "alternative," they're ALL really different from each other. My current faves are Groin and Around the World in a Day (which he did with Moses Sumney... and the Prince title reference can't be accidental...)

I LOVE Come back to me. Though, in my opinion it has a completely different vibe then the rest of the album. I love Right Person, Wrong Person. It is a brilliant masterpiece. However, It took a while to get there. RPWP is complex both in music and lyrics, so I, not knowing anything about rap, or even alternative music, was very taken back. Thankfully, there were wonderful people able to help explain and break it down for me, which helped me fall in love with it. I wanted to say this because in some of your pervious BTS reactions (which I just binged, lol) you have stated about how your knowledge of rap is low. Hopefully, you'll understand it right away, and won't need lots of help like me, lol. Also, I know you tend to avoid explicit content, at least on your BTS videos, so just want to let you know RPWP is very explicit, haha, which I loved. For so long he has had to censor his words, so it was nice to hear him not hold back. I think it was cathartic for him. Sorry for the long comment and thank you for treating the members with respect.

O álbum "Right Place, Wrong Person ", nem era suposto acontecer, no qual "Came Back To Me", é o single de apresentação.

Interesting your comment that this sound was something that you would expect from V, not so much from RM: in the recent Disney plus show "Are you sure" (JK and Jimin kinda travel log with V as guest in some episodes) V asked RM to send this (unreleased at the time of the show recording) song and listened to it in the car with Jimin. V's comment was that RM found the sound that he (V) was looking for and he would most likely cover it at some point. So yea, you are 100% right, this screams V, but sounds perfect with RM rendition.

Okay I thought I would make some suggestions for future listing (this might also be my Wishlist). I think it’s time for you to delve into some unit songs. We have the rapline (Tear/Ugh), the vocal line (Truth Untold/House of Cards) and the subunits, for example we have Jimin and Sugas more serious Tony Montana or J-hope and Suga’s (SOPE) less serious Otsukare. Or you could go random and explore some, perhaps accidental, song writing with the In the Soop theme song - there is footage from their holiday house with the off the cuff initial creating and then the completely chaotic recording session with Suga producing - of course you’d have to finish with the 1.30 minute theme song. Then we have RM’s Lost or Jimins new Smeraldo Garden Marching Band! Whatever you do I’m there for it!
