Freddie considered this song better than Bohemian Rhapsody from the writing aspect. The band wrote their own stuff in cca. 15 genres and Freddie could sing all of them effortless, he was much more than a simple rock singer.

Live in Montreal please as others have said Queen are a brilliant live band they did the live songs different to the studio versions x the choir of 3 voices Freddie Brian’s & Rogers voices went so well together x Queen are a very diverse band they did songs in all genres x

This was Freddie’s tribute to Aretha Franklin and her gospel roots. He admired her so much. No choir involved. All Queen stacking their harmonies to make it sound like a choir!

Enjoyed your reaction to one of Queen’s classic songs. I am huge Queen fan and classic rock fan so have subbed to your channel. I don’t know if you are reacting to live performances, but Queen is considered by many to be the greatest live rock band of all time with Freddie Mercury the greatest rock band frontman and vocalist of all time. Some suggestions for live performances are Somebody to Love live in Montreal 1981, Stone Cold Crazy live at the Rainbow 1974 and White Queen live at Hammersmith Odeon 1975.

Nice reaction! Queen is a very eclectic band, with a lot of different styles, genres and sounds. Why not check out Stone Cold Crazy - Queen live at the Rainbow 1974, it is officially known or recognized as the first thrash metal song. Queen did everything from synth pop and Motown to jazz, metal and progressive rock. Check out some of Queen's progressive rock masterpieces, such as Liar - Queen live at the rainbow 1974 or Innuendo from their last album. I recommend live version because people often like the live versions more then the studio versions, Queen was a great live band. If you want to see the true beginning of Bohemian Rhapsody check out, My Fairy King from Queens debut album, it is a great song. Queen could be edgy as well, check out Gimme The Prize - Queen. Freddie could sing anything convincingly, he even did a bit of opera.

My favorite song no matter studio version or every live version that exists!! Written by Freddie inspired by Aretha Franklin very Gospel driven. The lyrics reflect the writer’s prayer in finding Somebody To Love!! Amazing!! Check the live version at Montreal (perfection) and Milton Keynes (powerful) 💟

Freddie, Roger and Brian overdubbed their voices to sound like a choir. They got so good at it they called themselves the sausage factory. When you hear the studio version you don't think they could do a great live version but if you watch Somebody To Love Live in Montreal 1981 you will see Queen at it's best live. It will give you goosebumps. I saw Queen live on the Day At The Races tour in 1977 and it spoiled me for all other concerts.

Watched this, enjoyed and then moved on to other things over the weekend, without reacting. Great comments as usual from the community. Glad Ty enjoyed this track from Queen. Without going for the hits. (And even if they aren't listened to for reaction),... trying not to re-tread over material mentioned by others. There are some album cuts, or lesser focused on releases worthy of a during the course of learning Queen, even if you aren't listening to whole albums. These choices would be: "Don't Stop Me Now", off 'Jazz'. "Dragon Attack", off 'The Game'. "Lily of the Valley" of the medley, and "Now I'm Here", off 'Sheer Heart Attack'. ✌

How about trying what fans often call Bohemian Rhapsody’s Younger Sister : “Innuendo” (from their album of the same name, 1991). It has all the elements you named as Queen, with a twist of LedZep-like influence, insanely good transitions, a surprise element from their prog-roots’ influence Yes - an amazing, award-winning video… and all recorded as Freddie suffered through his final years with incredible strength and determination. “Innuendo” Official Video link : kzbin.info/www/bejne/nWOxYYehm9eEnrs
