How is it possible for an eleven year old to put so much passion into the lyrics, & given the lyrics are of a language foreign to Amira, it is beyond comprehension. Further, no child of this age should have perfect pitch & whatever register she’s in, there is no effort. It is EFFORTLESS. Cheers Graeme

Yes she was 11. ( just take 4 from the year of the performance to ascertain her age). She sang about half a dozen songs at this Christmas concert. Ave Maria, Gomez. Silent Night. Panis Angelicus, See Amid the Winter's Snow, O holy Night. All rememberd and sung perfectly. She also sold cakes she'd made with her brother to raise money. The chap in the wheelchair was instrumental in setting up Amira 's foundation for her. Her parents can be seen in the front row just beyond him. I think the next key moment in her career would be classics is groot 2016, and the Nella Fantasia from Africaans is groot from the same year. Between those two concerts we see her grow from child to young teen. She is quite adorable.

Hello Iron man . Please , dont jump the year 2016 ( Amira with 12 years old ) These year is the begining of the Amira performances in the mega concerts Classics is groot and Afrikaan is groot in South Afrika . These performances (since 2016 to 2019 ) was the most extraordinary performances in her career (with some exceptions like O mio babbino caro / your love in the Max prom concert 2017 ) And in 2016 youll find two or three wonderful renditions . (one date apart : this song Sancta Maria ( La caballeria rusticana ) it can hear in istrumental form in the terrible final of the movie the Godfather part 3 )

And now listen to "Ave Maria" from the same concert: there you will feel something is happening in that church. So very special. It feels like that goes beyond talent.... She seems completely captured inside that song and someone else is guiding her voice. At the end it took a moment for Amira to get back into reality: it is so clear to see, and I think all the people who were there did feel that deeply inside them self. O, excuse me: I see now you did already reacted on that video a couple of weeks ago...

I would suggest the 2 performances from the Iceland Christmas concert where she was still 11 years old. Fantastic I Mio Babbino Caro and the Ave Maria Gounod duet. Incredible performances.

@@brettmcs9805Yes, I don't know why that performance got split, with a separate video of the second half of just Your Love ending up alone.... Maybe it was because the title of the full performance with the two songs wasn't appealing to people. The whole performance though is far more powerful.

@@shooster5884 If you remember, it was her then manager Jan Deebden, who managed to get her performance of "Your love" into a spot in the program that had been intended only to allow her to sing OMBC.

@@dafyddllewellyn6636 Yes, I remember that.. a great move.. the whole performance too with Amira not feeling so well after vaccinations for her imminent move to South Africa.. I think it was Jan said that backstage she was wrapped in a blanket before performing. She's the true professional, never lets anything get in the way of giving a top class performance.

Now Amira has left school we may be able see some more recent material reflecting her adult development, particularly in the operatic field. While it is nice to look back over the years it is good also to look forward. Some of the gems of her 12 to 14 year career have hardly been acknowledged by most reactors, likewise 14 to the present day.

I think the next year or two will be more transitional ones for Amira, and her voice which started changing and maturing towards it's full adult sound the last couple of years and still has a way to go. Also as Amira has now finished high school, she too will be changing in her life likes, as well and evolving her full adult persona and music likes and study and career choices.

I am not of any religion but I love Amira and her performances and admire her in that she lives according to her beliefs. I can understand how she appeals particularly to those of a Christian faith like herself and she is a gift to them.

​@@shooster5884- Sounds like you may not be living in the US as you said, "there." There are many religions but i dare say none are thriving, but shrinking, especially since Covid closed churches. What i mean by pagan is it's "literary use referring to a nonreligious person who delights in sensual pleasures and material goods," which pretty much defines America, imho. Truly, she is a gift from God for ALL humanity, i believe especially for those without faith in God for she awakens their hardened hearts to He who is Love. This is why so many are brought to tears. As i said, "We need her desperately!" Anyway, keep getting the word out like you do about our breathtaking Princess. i just came across this saying today which applies here - "Faith is not an effort, a striving, a ceaseless seeking.... but rather a letting go, an abandonment, an abiding rest in God that nothing, not even the soul's shortcomings, can disturb." @@cmlarose50 No, Amira does not influence me to change my beliefs no more than I would try to influence her or others to mine. Faith takes many forms but any pagan persons I know are extremely spiritual people who value creation deeply over material wealth..

Pure innocence. Absolute humility. God sent her to us to remind us of Him, I am sure. (Edit: To comment about dates). If you are going to follow Amira as she grows older, you have already gotten off track. She is 11 yrs. old here. You completely skipped year 10 with Andre Rieu. I am disappointed.
