Your Superman is LESS loved than Iron Man....IRON MAN bro...what....are...you...celebrating about????

If you listen closely when Superman takes off for the second time (after he crashes), you can hear the old school whooshing sound effect from the George Reeves era mixed in. It's a little touch but I love it.

Supes jumping is a nod to the original comics/cartoons were he only jumped/leaped with no flying. Hence "able to leap tall buildings in a single bound" quote
@GRR1MN1R7 сағат бұрын
Namor of Marvel comics was the first comic character to fly Superman was still jumping across at that era

I still get goosebumps when Russell Crow/Jor-El says “You will give the people of Earth an ideal to strive towards. They will race behind you, they stumble, they will fall. But in time, they join you in the sun, Kal. In time, you will help them accomplish wonders”. ❤️💛💙

"it is now time to return to your new world and serve its collective humanity. Live is one of them Kal to discover where your strength and your power are needed. Always hold your heart the pride of your special heritage. They can be a great people Kal El, they wish to be. They only lack the light to show them the way. For this reason, above all, their capacity for good, I have sent them you, my only son." Marlon Brando, as Jor-El, Superman, 1978

Man of steel was amazing imo. The best dcu movie. Only the snyder cut justice league beats it. It set such a high standard for dc movies moving forward.

High Standard? Bro its LESS widely love than the MCU. like are we serious here 😂😂😂😂
@velvet_thunder18355 күн бұрын
@megafan1906 yes my statement is correct. It set a high standard and high expectations moving forward. I never said the movies that followed actually met that high standard though. Dcu sucks ass

BvS is the standard., but I can’t argue against your point. The Snyder films are brilliant too n that they are true character arcs, with triumphs and consequences. . The marvel films are pure comedy, geared toward families. . Marvel is the McDonald’s of modern cinema. Incredibly predictable. Incredibly consistent. Built for families. . BvS is the 2nd act in the Christ figure arc. Birth, death, and resurrection of the god sent to earth to be the example. . I’m with you on the DC example. Spot on.

@spencertucker2902 i really wanted to like bvs but i absolutely hated the way they did Lex Luther. And the martha plot point completely destroyed that movie for me.

I didnt see this movie until like 3 years after it came out and and I still cant believe it has a poor rating by some people. This is not only the best Superman movie, its the best DCEU moive and one of the best superhero movies of the era. Easily on par with Iron Man, Capt America and Aquaman. I'd put it above Batman Begins and Thor even

This movie contains one phrase that is the most impactful phrase of the last 30 years of cinema history. And nobody realized how significant it was. The phrase is: "Your mother Lara and I were the product of the failures of our world as much as Zod was tied to its fate.." The only one catches it was NAT and she said something really stupid like "Really?? I don't believe in that...." absolutely moronic. That phrase meant that NO MATTER how much Jor El and Lara wanted to come with him their fates were tied to Krypton and it's people / culture. The idea behind it is that Kryptonian culture will inexorably lead to failure that's why their world ended. It doesn't matter that JorEl and Lara represent the best of Krypton it's philosophy of whatnot. If someone from Krypton and lived among it's culture and came to Earth with all those wonderful powers they would transform Earth into another Krypton and suffer the same fate. So the best choice was to send their infant son to be raised among humans and to have a human culture so all of us and Kal El might have a future. Therefore they made a choice to stay behind to accept their fate and the fate of their people. That makes their sacrifice even deeper, havier and noble. The entire thing comes from the biblical journeys of Jewish people after the liberation from slavery. Moises knew that in order to be total free of slave mentality and culture first they must change themselves. So they warndered into the desert for 40 years... By then an entire new generation of Jewish people, who knows nothing about slavery, but only freedom replaced the old ones thus ensuring the survival of the Jewish people. Also The doom of Krypton was literally THE Judgement day for them that fell upon the just and the unjust equally. And you see it from the start, every single Kryptonian was designed and assigned a job at birth, in another word, they were slaves and when Jor-El told Zod that he had a natural born son, Zod first reaction was "HERESY" that means this slave system that governed the Kryptonian society was embeded into their religion as well which explain why it lasted so long. Absolutely fantastic movie and it has one of the best soundtrack of all times IMO.

I liked how they explained Superman's perspective as someone who could fly in All-star Superman! It's like, if I understand it correctly, an elephant observing an ant. Different perspective, different timeframe. Natalie Gold should watch Flashpoint Paradox, if she hadn't already. "What if he landed somewhere besides Smallville." To be honest, I liked Supe's re-entry into Earth's atmosphere in Superman Returns more. The plane rescue and rooftop Gatling gun was awesome!

Sorry for appearing negative here but is it really so hard to believe why kryptonians had no powers on their planet? Their sun was red which dampens their superpowers and also more its gravity was stronger. So that’s why he draws his power from the yellow sun!
