Everything quicksilver touches is in the range of his powers . . It's crazy how the one who would survive is the only one that thanks him. 😆

Hands down, Quicksilver has the best on-screen showing of speedster powers ever put to film. DC could never😂 Also, that plate to the throat would hurt like a mofo…

This scene's awesome, but it also ironically shows that if you actually had superspeed some of the things you see people like Quicksilver and Flash do in the comics or shows would be REALLY boring for them. For instance, imagine you have superspeed and are running across the country in the span of a few seconds. From your perspective, though, everything around you is just standing still and you're running at what to you is a normal speed, so to you it takes what feels like months to run that far. Sure, to everybody else it was a blink of an eye, but to you it was just running and running and running non-stop for ages. Same thing with watching Superman or Flash "speed read" books in the span of a second. To them, they're reading the book at a normal rate, so it feels like it takes hours in that frame of reference. So when you break it down superspeed feels like doing everything at normal speed while the entire world is just standing still the whole time. It's awesome in a scene like this movie where it only takes what feels to you like a couple of minutes to do something, but anything that would take a normal person a really, really long time to do will still feel like a really, really long time to you.

I've watched this scene SO MANY times. It's great! But one thing: Wouldn't throwing a ceramic plate at that speed literally cut right through the guy?
@MarrockVАй бұрын
I don't think so, because if you watch it you can see it appears to go back to it's original speed once he lets go of it, so it'd hit the guard at its original velocity.

My favorite X-Men movie, X-Men 2 being a close 2nd. The only flaw here is they conveniently ditch Quicksilver after this scene for no real reason. Who exactly could have stopped him? Sentinels weren’t stealing powers in their original form. The only logical excuse is that they couldn’t risk him being captured for future models, but I don’t remember them mentioning that? Seems more like he would have made everything way too easy so they had to write him out of the story. Then again, if the 2023 sentinels had Quicksilver’s speed… damn.. no one survives.

lol the music is a really great point. If time slowed, then music should slowed down but then energy=mass so idk

3D printed guns would destroys magneto today.
@CrippledMercАй бұрын
Not really. The bullets are still metal unless they’re less lethal rounds, which wouldn’t be fatal unless they shot him a lot in the eye or something. They’d have to develop entirely new bullets to work in the 3d printed guns. It could be done though. I’m sure they could make ceramic bullets that could handle the explosive force, or maybe some other synthetic material. They might have to use smaller calibers with more powder since a lighter bullet wouldn’t carry as much energy due to the lower mass of the projectile, so they’d need faster bullets instead to make up for it. Unfortunately there’s no way around F=MA.

@@CrippledMerc first, no bullets is metal. It's copper. And plastic bullets are a thing now. Look it up

Typical over-powered DC characters (Superman, Darkseid, etc). It's why too many DC stories are boring.
